Color Bar

I searched around the CozyHair forum and didn't find a thread on Color Bar... quite surprised as Color Bar seems very popular.

The prices are very reasonable too, a haircut is 28$ and hair dye 100+ depending on length. often have promotions too. a lot of taitais and caucasian ladies go to them, so initially i thought it was a high end salon. when i realised that their prices were actually very affordable i immediately went for a haircut and it turned out great.

Color Bar is at Siglap, next to Starbucks.... has any other cotter tried Color Bar?

P/S: my stylist is Gene. He is very professional and very skilled. Used to work for monsoon and dont know what else before he moved to CB.

I'm quite particular about my hair. but I honestly rate Gene a 4.5/5 stars...

yeah i only got to know about color bar while hanging out at starbucks =) i liked the way every single customer came o ut looking so good that i went to try..

i dont have color bar's number, but i have gene's h/p number. 90293376. maybe you can say Jill introduced you. he replies to smses and calls... but he can only speak basic english. speaks mostly mandarin.

Thinking of dying my hair black with a bit of purple highlights. Not sure how that will turn out though..

rae, my friend did pink highlights on her dark-colored hair. turned out quite nicely. as she had a short bob, i remember it being quite cheap. like 50$ or 70$... but she only highlighted, never dye.

peipeigirl, siglap is quite near parkway parade. in between pp and bedok. hths.

btw, if you want to look up a street directory, i think the nearest "landmark" is siglap mall. thats about 1 minute from color bar

i finally found a thread on Color Bar!...have been surfing around.

Right now, there is CITIBANK card promo that says Hair Dye $35 and from another forum i saw that it's for all hair length. It sounds too good to be true!
They have other outlet at:

- Holland Village
-Marine Parade Central
- Pandan valley apartments
-Siglap

since there is so much rave...i feel safer booking my appointment now!

wow, hair dye for 35$? is it only for citibank platinum members or any citibank will do

btw, had no idea they had so many branches! are all the prices the same? or do they have more high-level/low-level salons with different prices?

btw girls i really recommend gene at siglap. three of my friends go to him too. we have never looked back.

i think they used to have it at wheelock place before? It was very high end back then...but think that outlet has closed down.
