oh...thanks kiss_me...
i know where it is already!
anyone tried rebonding there? good anot?
i did! its not bad..hair is still in good condition.
Was at the hair shop last week, and had a haircut by Gina. She gave me a layered look with a soft fringe. Luv it.
She recommended that I do a rebonding. But it costs abt $500 at her salon! Her explaination was that they use 'superior' chemicals, so hair will not turn out dry and damaged. And they have the technique to make the hair not so limp, such that it will be more natural.
Is there a need to pay for this much? Will there really be any difference? Any one of you gals tried the rebonding over at the hair shop b4?
I also read abt the soft straights from the other ongoing thread.
Now i am indecisive. help!
I have also heard about the different quality of chemicals used in different salon. Let's put it this way... more reputable salons have their reputation to take care of, so most likely they will not "mix" superior with inferior chemicals. Some smaller salons may do some mixing on their own. As for whether the chemicals are more gentle to the hair. Well, you have to try both to know. But don't forget, you may also be paying for the brand when you go to more expensive salons. There are good salons who offer rebonding at pretty reasonable prices too. As for $500 for a rebonding.... you decide![]()
Ya..i totally agree with Vonnie. Probably $500 is too high a price to pay. There are indeed other salons that can do good job for half the price. I have a friend that have done rebonding for the third time with the same stylist and still, the effect turned out great!![]()

Chemicals do make a diff, but i believe mid range salons like supercuts, kimage would use reliable products and chemicals, and will not to the extent of killing the hair. But you gotta be wary of neighbour auntie salons, but u never know. They might be good too.
If you have too little hair to begin with, rebonding will look limp, no matter how skillful they are!
$500 is definitely no way for me.....
maybe ard a mth or two?Originally posted by farahdean
how long do u wait before u take a dip in the pool? i know a fren who took a dip 2 weeks after she did & it totally dried out her long hair ends. i need to work my lump of lard body but i don wanna end up with dried grass on my head.
Hello girls, I'm thinking of rebonding my hair soon. I did it once in Dec 2001 and I realised that my hair's become curly when the rebonded bits grew out. I never used to have hair that was in wavy curls. Anyway right now I'm desperate because I've got fine hair, but these waves are making the body look fat, while the top's flat.![]()
So I checked with my hairdresser and she quoted me $250. Is that steep considering that my hair length is mid back right now, just below the bra strap. Also I'm not sure if anyone of you know her, but she used to be from NEXT hairdressing at Holland Village, her name's Pauline. She left them and opened her own startup, called Flux. I've seen her work on a good friend of mine and her locks became so lovely and silky and natural-looking, not poker-straight. But I really don't know if I should to part with $250. What is a reasonable price?
Please advise. Thanks!
hi girls, I'm planning to rebond my hair for the first time. so kinda of excited about it.![]()
any recommendations of good salons? no supercuts please!
is Gorgeous good with rebonding?
btw, which one should I do first? rebond first or colouring first?
TIA!![]()
Rebond first then color later. The color will become lighter if you do this first. In some cases, salons wouldn't rebond for you if you have bleaching done to the hair previously.Originally posted by starrypixie
