ceramic perm just gives the natural wave but wavier rite?

    *sigh*
pple with straight hair want it wavy.
pple with wavy hair want it straight.

i have mildly wavy hair and it annoys me to no end the way it 'keows' out.

my hair's like yours when i layer it & grow it out & yes i hated it but the stylist thinks it's great to bring the waves out, thus all that slicing & layering thru...grrr!

i have straight hair that has a wavy base or something like that according to my hair dressers...very very mild wave but it's really annoying because it is only obviously wavy at one section on the back

I think ceramic perms looks elegant on one if you can carry it very well. Going to try it before this November for $125 at Rever Salon. Getting sick of my rebonded hair now. Anyone done it there before?

i believe that curls need higher maintainence than stright hair ***... if not your hair will look like a mop!! very untidy...

do you wonder why most artiste can carry their curls well? because it is due to constant maintain and they have their make up on. curly hair, no make up, will definitely look quite aunty.

i prefer natural curls.. i mean slight curls to give your hair volume.. but alas, my hair is not curly, but real frizzy. have to stick to hair straightener for the time being.

My hairdstylist has been encouraging me to go for it....so I will give it a little more thought...
My hairstylist says not all hair texture is suitable for ceremic perm. If your hair is too fine, ceremic perm will not turn out nice. Or if your hair is dry (esp after rebonding), it will further damage it. But of course, whether nice or not nice, permed hair takes a lot more maintainence than straight hair.

This year I am NOT going to be itchy mouth to go ask for a hair perm. My fine hair really breaks like crazy after each perm and it takes me 6 months to 'recover' from dry, damaged broken hair.

I tried texture perm before. The hairdresser at ISIS sort of know me and suggested texture perm since it is less permanent than ceremic perm. Lucky she did, because within two weeks, I went back to straighten it out. Cost me about $400 for two hairdos!

i go for fortnightly scalp treatment (prvent hair loss etc) and was advised that rebonded hair do not take perm very well.

reason being that rebonding took the "bone" out of the hair so it's straight and "lifeless". it's very difficult to curl it back.

    i was thinking of this:-

since i look MUCH younger than my age, i think i can afford 5 years.

The hairstyle looks great! But a word of warning, permed hair needs much more styling and maintainance than straight hair. Potentially hair damage if not well permed too...

I did my c. perming at this place. Cost me $180. Did it in March till now it's still curly. Look for Elin.

Alternatively, you can try Shunji. More expensive but heard so many raves abt it.

Speaking from experience permed black hair makes you look older. Highlight or colour takes years off.

    HTH!

    Riverie did hers at Shunji

try Kimage too. i did a japanese perm at the Funan branch. With style card its less 20% (also depends on the length of your hair) i paid around $180-$200 (can't remember for hair that's past shoulder) a week before and after your bday gives you 50%

did mine is feb and i still manage to coax some curls out with leave in conditioner.
