Been having this dandruff problem and not sure if it's due to Dove shampoo. I just switched to it last month. Head and Shoulders is good but its too drying for my hair ends. Any suggestions?
Try Keratase..they have this dundruff shampoo that is pretty good..greyish blue in colour. Use that for your scalp and another shampoo for your ends. But if your ends are not try u can use for the whole head....It works for me previously.

I have a dandruff problem too but I think it's caused by whatever shampoo I was using then. Now I use Origins Knot Free. While it's not an anti dandruff formula , my flakies seem have gone away.
My advise is, chuck that Dove shampoo.
Okie.....I'll get these for my next shampoo purchase.
Dove should have a new advert "I feel so loved 'cos it makes me to have snow flakes on my head!" Hahaha.....

Try Nizoral Dandruff shampoo. You can get it from the pharmacist at Guardian. It's the best for dandruff recommended by the pharmacist. My dandruff did go away after using this, but they seem to have returned & gotten immuned to my Nizoral! I switched brands and it did go away, but now it has returned! UGH. My dandruff is uncurableI'm back to my Nizoral now & the situation's under control...
Nizoral is very much raved about in MUA. Portia, how's the scent like & does it dry your hair out?
hmm latte... hw abt head and shoulders???i m currently using the Somang Keratin hair shampoo which also says aims to reduce dandruff

Erm this sounds plain silly but i'm just wondering if there's any difference between dandruff and flaking of the scalp? Coz i see my flakes at hairline where my parting starts but when i examined other areas, i didn't see any. So am wondering if it's really dandruff coz my hair's been falling out lots more these days![]()
Gwennie, this could be caused by not shampooing that area properly. I had that problem too but that went away when I started to make sure I scratch everybit of my scalp when I shampoo, especially my oft neglected hairline.
Heya!
Thanks atypical for your explanation.I'm so worried that i have dandruff plaguing me right now in addition to hair loss. Shall go scratched the scalp clean now

Probably the hair loss could be due to dandruff (thus unhealthy scalp). Maybe the hair loss issue will be resolved once the dandruff goes awayOriginally posted by gwennie

Hello Dimples
I'm not at all sure if it's dandruff or just flakes coz my hair started dropping lots much earlier and there wasn't any dandruff then (i'm pretty sure of that coz i only discovered the flakes last week) and am using baby shampoo right now, which is mild enough. Dunno if the scalp will be able to take it if i change to a antidandruff shampoo which i think will most probably be a stronger formulae![]()

Nizoral is very much raved about in MUA. Portia, how's the scent like & does it dry your hair out?Nizoral smells great compared to the other dandruff shampoos which usually have a medicated smell. I can't pinpoint what it smells like exactly though. I don't think it dries my hair out too much though [****** cos I've got short hair]. You only use this twice a week, and after your situation is under control, maintain by using once a week. If you're worried about it being drying, just condition after
