*** went to ICON by Shunji Matsuo at Wisma Isetan in the eveng to cut my hair. result my mum also thinks so too *heh*

total damage = $31.92 (after discount using isetan card. Orginal charge was $33.60)

The lady who cut my hair is Lily. very attentive and gentle with my hair when she cuts.

About hair colouring:
for medium length hair highlight is about $68 ..
dye hair alone if i dont remember wrongly its about $70? if do highlight and lowlight together.. then the lowlight they will charge $50 +$68.

i am not sure am i pointing to the right direction but there is one Shunji Matsuo infront of Cairnhill Place or behind Crown Prince Hotel. The building is Wellington Building

To get to there, one have to walk pass Jack's Place restaurant located next to Citibank or Heeren in Orchard. And look to your left when you are facing the Cairnhill Place. The place is located right next to this Asian Managment School(can't remember the full name)

i just went to ICON today, was served by maggie. her cutting skills are not bad. not really jap, then again my hair was quite short, there was not much she could do. quite satisfied, as now, at least my hair is much lighter and more 'movement'.

Hi, anyone knows whats the rate for treatment and color at Shunji Matuso? Thinking of going to the Wellington Building branch to get a cut, treatment and maybe color my hair also. Wondering will the bill pass $200.
Btw to those who has ur hair cut by Shunji, Sunny or the other non local stylist, do you have any difficulty telling them what you want? not trying to be racist here, but they are jap or korean, so wonder if there will be any communication difficulties.

i have 2 cut by Qing (from China) and Kyomi (Jap). both speak fairly well in english. u will be surprised.

a cut and color do will way pass $300 for long hair.

I've had my hair cut by Shunji himself twice (a few years back now), and while he didn't do a bad job, he didn't wow me either. I recently tried Jane, who was only so-so. I've gone back to my regular stylist elsewhere now. FWIW, I've got thick, coarse hair that's hard to manage.

Hi, how long was your hair? Mine is few inch below the shoulder but above the bra strap. Gosh.... over $300.... and it doesnt include treatment right? Hair cut cost around $55-$60 that means the color cost $200++

Oh any by the way, do they increase their rates before Chinese New Year? Some salons increase their rates around 1 month before Chinese New Year.

I just had my hair cut and colour by Jane. My hair is at the bra stap. I did a root touch-up, a base colour, and 2-colour highlights. Total cost with cut came up to about $270.

I don't think they have increased their price for the CNY yet. I went last Sat.

my aunt goes to Shunji himself regularly too. he is okie but i agree with xiaoyun that the cuts didnt have the WOW factor! also, my aunt's hair cut never seemed to change....

I'm thinking of getting a haircut. Have always love those japanese girls' hair. Anyone knows of a good salon that does nice "Jap hairstyles"? Thanks!
