Dunno about durian paste ones, but my fave mooncakes are East Ocean's custard snowskin mooncakes.![]()
Another vote to EAST OCEAN for their snowskin mooncakes. But my favourite is still lotus paste, no exotic flavours for me.
Can't wait for the takashimaya mooncakes fair, free tasting, free mooncakes to eat

M1 has tied up with Marriot to give all its susbscribers big discounts of up to 25%. Just flash your mobile or show them your bills to enjoy the discounts. The discounted amount is quite significant. Check this out.![]()
Oops I got confused... I think! The one selling at Raffles City Shopping Atrium is Raffles Sze Chuan- maybe not same as Raffles Hotel, I don't know :huh:Originally posted by CaramelGirl

Anyway, RSC's having Citibank 20% discountand I bought and ate their snowskin rum and raisin chocolate truffle... not too bad!

Marriot's M1 discount is rather limited/ restrictive, it doesn't apply to their assorted snowskin box, nor single mooncakes, etc etc. After some juggling and confusion, did manage to buy a box of the snowskin durian at discount and split them with my gf though.
hi all...
yesterday i finally gotten to SWALLOW down 2 mooncakes from BEE CHIN HIANG (mei zhen xiang)... nice & not too sweet & oily..
S$6 for any plain lotus paste, S$7 for 1 yoke, S$7.50 for dbl yoke!!!
yummy!!!!
heading down to east ocean NEXT! :bye:
I'm not a big mooncake fan but just wanna encourage all to go to the outdoors and have a mooncake party!
Last year, we had one at the beach with our pals. We each brought different types of mooncakes and chinese tea. Light up lanterns and hang it all around and chat the night away. It was really nice.
Also, I'm so big already but still have to carry lanterns.
Last year we brought the mooncakes from Raffles Hotel for our parents. This year, I'm not so sure.
Anyway, which day (date) does the mooncake festival falls in?
Hi naughtygirl, this yr it is on 28 sep, a tuesday....
Did some tasting of Rafffles Hotel mooncake, as well as the one from Szechuan court. The snowskin is like eating mooncake with chocolate truffle... not exactly a favourite.
Her World magazine readers- there's an article on mooncakes from different places... some exotic ones I'm eyeing!![]()
which one would u recommend then? i wanna place order but there's so many to choose from.Originally posted by PeLeCiA

anyone tried those feature in the UOB deal ones? any comments?
If you dont wanna try your luck, then the best thing to do is to go down and sample the moonackes for yourself. In general, you cant go far wong with marriott's, goodwood's n crown prince's if you're getting durian-paste ones. JMHO.Originally posted by Pills
