Just in time, I was thinking of what place for dimsum...
Places I use to visit
Red star,
Lei Garden at Orchard Tower and Chijmes
Crystal Jade Palace at Taka
60th Floor of UOB plaza
Chinese rest at 4 seasons hotel
Chinese rest at Panpac rest
Goodwood park
East Ocean @ Shaw
Tsui Heng Village at Hotel Asia
Hmm going for dimsum this Saturday.
Need to book places at Crystal Jade Palace.
Ate at quite a few HK dimsum places, brought around by locals, but never tried the famous Luk Yu I must say.. must try it again next time!
Hmmm a little slow but I've things to add in too...
Mirama Hotel has a very reasonable dim sum lunch buffet at only $12.50 after all extra charges on weekdays, i think you'll have to add a couple of $$ more on weekends. The quality of the food is really good and for this price I think its really worth trying.
Have been to Hong Xin too but didn't really like the place... the lighting is a little too dim for the usual dim sum atmosphere, and i didn't think that the food was all that great.
Try Teahouse at China Square, they serve tim sum buffet everyday from 3-5pm at $15NETT and on weekends it's $16.80NETT, very value for money and the food is not bad too. BTW my fav tim sum is har kaw and chee cheong fan![]()
Yum Cha is only so-so, IMO. Hafta Q during busy weekends!

hi mimiyap, miramar hotel is near concorde hotel, don't know the road name, think its havelock road. its near Zouk area, and I think the nearest MRT is Tiong Bahru. Sorry not much help here, cos I took a cab there on 3 occasions.
there'r no pushcarts, you order from the waitress and they bring the food.![]()

321 Orchard Road, #03-00 Orchard Shopping Centre, Singapore 238866
150 Orchard Road, 9th Floor, Orchard Plaza Building, Singapore 238841

thanks!!!
Here's a thumbs up review of Teahouse at China Sq from me: Over the weekend, the buffet is only from 3pm-5pm daily, px: $16.80 NETT (weeekdays $15 as the others have posted)
Value for money! Good, crispy, piping hot dim sum. Excellent prawn stuff, prawn with mango wrapped in a wafer paper crisp, fresh prawn dumplings fried to golden brown with mayo, nice steamed pork buns, tau sar pau, good variety I'd say
You can just go to the counter to collect, and hence the usual singaporeans carting tiffins worth of dim sum back to their table.
Of course for the px, it won't be as good as red star, pearl dragon, lei garden, blah, but it's a nice place for tea and good variety
