Beppu? It quite sucks! The miso ramen is edible.. but I won't ever pay $7 for one there. The one in Maxwell market's definitely better in terms of price and taste!Originally posted by baobei

Candee, it's Ajisen Ramen, ya? I like to eat there too but bf is not a big fan of ramen. A pity... Their lunch set is value-for-money and the only time I eat there
I like the ramen at Raffles City too. That's the only thing I eat when I'm there. I do find the soup base to be inconsistent sometimes, a little salty.
yup, Ajisen Ramen! Don't really like their ramen, and their side dish... average.
hahaaa... me too!! That's the only store I go to when I visit Raffles City food court.![]()
Realised nobody has start this thread....Hvnt had any really good ones apart the ones I ate in Japan and HK where I can finish 1 who bowl by myself... any 1 to recommend?? Any1 has eaten the 1 at Railway at Upper Bt Timah Rd?
I'm not a big fan of ramen also..i will always end up drinking up all the soup and leave behind 1 big chunk of ramen..
If i go Bei Fu i would eat the chicken karage ramen with 4 chillis.. and i![]()
the cuttlefish balls there..
Maybe you would like to try the another restaurant down few stores away from Bei Fu..the soup is supposedly contain some good nutrients that is good for our bones.. Haven't tried it before..
Oh I've tried that, Twinstar (not Beppu). Reviews were quite good. The 2nd time I ate the bone marrow soup one, it was too salty. Way TOO salty.
Try the Maxwell one for cheaper ramen. They've added more choices.
where is this maxwell road one?
Beppu was quite good when it 1st started. Haven't been back for a long time but no way am I eating at Aijisen ramen ever![]()
It's in the Food Centre, BaobeiDo you know where the URA Centre is? The Scarlet hotel?
the ajisen ramen but not their soup base
tried the branch outlet in melbourne too, man it taste like salt water!![]()
i like beppu! but usually i would only take 1 chilli... cannot take it!
once at taka, there was this jap fair where they invited jap restaurant chefs to sell food, and i tried the ramen, omg, it was sooo salty! i couldn't take it...
i love to eat ramen, but can't seem to find yummy ones!
Which didn't make it for you, Peep? I searched this forum for ramen. Have you tried Waruku's?

Tanaka Ramen Specialist at Shaw Towers used to be cheap & good, now $$ gone up & the original chief seems gone hiding. They DIY everyday so freshness guaranteed.
Ken at Orchard Plaza is not too bad too. double digit figure per bowl.
The open counter at Liang court slacks over these years.....
i never succeed in collected their loyalty stamps, coz validity too short
