Goodwood Park Coffee Lounge Local Hi-Tea comes up to about $24 per head (inclusive of tax and +++). But the menu is slightly limited. Mostly local items like: laksa. mee siam, Indian rojak, roti prata (must say the accompanying chicken curry is good), siew mai, chee cheong fun, fried noodles, fried carrot cake, ice kachang, the usual cakes and desserts.

Anyone been to Orchard hotel's weekday hi-tea recently? Any comments?

I was there for hi-tea long time ago but have lunch a few times recently there so wonder if the hi-tea is good in terms of variety. I am assuming quality should be okay. There's UOB one for one promo going on now....

    Hi,
Is Goodwood park hi tea and Goodwood park English hi tea serve the same food?
Because i think English hi tea serves only pastries right?

I tried Straits Kitchen at Grand Hyatt for (i can't remember was it) a buffet lunch or buffet high-tea.. The spread is goodddddddd and the food is great!! They serve mainly local delights, but is nonetheless very worth every penny!

I had that a few months ago. Not too bad in terms of quality but the variety is little. IIRC, they have a "stall" with mee siam, a counter filled with dim sum, fried chicken wings, carrot cakes, mini sandswiches and a DIY rojak counter. There is a small chocolate fondue fountain too.

Oops... Haven't been to this thread for some time. the high tea and English high tea are different. High tea is a buffet held at the Coffee Lounge and consists of local dishes and other miscellaneous high tea staples. The English high tea is held at Cafe L'Expresso and I don't think it's a buffet. HTHS!
