hi ppl i heard ppl say that tester perfume last longer and smell abit stronger then the retail version. is it true???
no it's not true. They're the same, only with different packaging. I've been buying tester bottles since I-cant-remember-when and only have 2 non-tester bottles which I got from the airport.
Personally, the tester bottles are more worth it since the aesthetic design of the box does not matter to me. My testers come in brown boxes unlike the fancy ones that non-testers have. Afterall, when youre done with your perfume, unless youre a collector, the box will still be thrown out so I dont see the point in paying for the fancy box.
where can i buy the tester version? thanks![]()
Testers are manufactured bottles of the exact fragrance sold at a fraction of the retail price. Fragrance companies want to promote their products and will manufacture Tester bottles to help increase the sale of the fragrance. These will in no way affect the overall quality of the fragrance as testers have the same composition as the regular packaged item. Buying a tester is a great way to enjoy the same exact fragrance at a great price you will love!
So the only difference is the packaging, the rest are the same!
asteris seen lots at lucky plaza. but be careful, some of them are not authentic.
hi Perfumestore, thanks for the information
dollishchic: thanks. i didn't know there was a difference in packaging until i read this thread as i've never bought a tester version for myself before![]()
no problem asteris. one easy to check if perfumes are authentic is to check the bottom of the bottle. there must be a sticker that states the sizes and some details of the perfumes. this is especially useful for testers, because fake perfume makers are really lazy to paste that little sticker and take note of the details. it's also expensive to print and stick those stickers (expensive not only in terms of cost, but the process etc)
was just wondering tester set do they come with the cap? =)
from what i know, for testers, they don't come with the proper packaging, but can be bought at real cheap prices, of course not as cheap as like SGD20, 30 etc... but SGD50 can definitely get you a tester bottle. the authenticity is there as long as you buy from trustworthy shops.![]()
not all tester got caps la some have some don
anyone know where can i buy tester perfume?
Thanks
Toxic84: i won't recommend lucky plaza, some of the shops may not be selling authentic one, but some are selling authentic.
i recommend this blogshop (http://www.bits-accessories.blogspot.com/) where the seller actually imports from wholesale and does offer tester bottles at low price. iirc, their packaging for the brand new perfumes, has got the sticker which contains the address of the warehouse, incase we need verification or what, and the boxes are all wrapped with a transparent plastic sheet.
i personally have not ordered from the blogshop before as i have got quite a few bottles waiting for me to finish. but i have got a few friends who have bought brand new bottles from the blogshop before and they told me it's cheaper than counters. they didn't worry of being scammed as they actually meetup with the seller and paid upon collection.
Some of them do not come with the cap, some do. This depends on the manufacturer. For instance, Anna sui testers usually do not come in caps because their selling point is aesthetics, while other perfumes like gucci, some of them comes with the cap, some without. Hence, it is better to ask the retailer before you buy if the cap matters a lot to you. Otherwise, you could transfer the cap from your old bottle. that works too.
:D
