tester and retail box version

just ordered my hugo boss #6 perfume from perfumestore.sg When the items arrived will give review ^^ anyway i have used the perfume before hugo boss #6 it has some candysih smell in it and i love it

I supposedly bought a tester from a beauty shop like Venus in Hong Kong. But I find that the fragrance does not lasts as long as the real sample bottle that I got. I am starting to suspect if the tester bottle in Hong Kong is fake... Cos the price is only around SGD20++, super cheap. As the real things is close to $100.

Furthermore, I saw fake bottles of perfume selling at pasar malam, is also around $20++. The one at pasar malam I know is fake, cos the vendor openly said so.

smurfs: no problem ^^ but i think will last cos they selling geniue? As i have used my hugo Boss #6 for near 1 yr le. Really like the smell cos for guy with candyish smell in it ^^ dont like those typical heavey cologne smell.

any recommendations for tester versions? i've been receiving perfumes either as gifts or buying the testers so i am not prepared to part with my money to buy the retail versions... hope someone can help.

Most of the testers in lucky plaza are without caps...so Im quite apprehensive to get them though the diff for the box is around $10-15. Cos there r alcohol in perfume, and without the caps probably the scent wont last for long. Yes/ no?

just to clarify. perfume scent doesn't escape. it is the chemical reaction that will cause the perfume to go "bad" or have a different scent. if you keep a perfume for more than a year or 2, u will realize that the color of the liquid turns yellow. that is the sign of it reacting with the oxygen. however, most perfumes have a pretty high concentration of parfum concentrate in them, hence the smell would not deviate a lot from fresh perfumes, but it won't last as long as fresh perfumes.
