Do you match your fragrance with what you wear?

hi everyone!

I am not new to cozycot, but very new to the fragrance thread
was previously very into make up but lately I am into this fragrance craze!
I am building up my fragrance collection again after not wearing one for more than three years, so am here to learn from all of you!

I am wondering, do you choose the perfume to use according to what you wear for the day? like use a floral fragrance if you wear a floral dress, a fresh fragrance when you wear sporty stuff, and a 'powerful' fragrance when you are in powersuit???

do share with me how you match your fragrance with your attire ya?

Fragrance I use when I wear:
* Floral dress
* Sports gear
* Full suits
* Pants suits
* Cocktail dress
* Lounge wear (at home)
* any others?

i match with occasion and mood.
weekends and casual will be girly, floral, cheerful scents
business meetings and dates will be more womanly, provocative scents

somehow i will select which fragrance to spray according to what colour im wearing. like if im wearing blur/ purple/ red, i'll want to spray moon sparkle because the bottle is somewhat in that theme! somehow this comes naturally and i'll feel it's so wrong to spray like maybe a pink bottled fragrance on my blue clothing.

If you wear multi-colours, what fragrance would you use?

Previously, this was how I match my fragrances with my attire:

Power suit : Chanel Allure
Clubbing/evening functions : Chanel Coco
Lounge wear: Bvlgari Petits Maman
Dress: Escada Sexy graffiti, Lolita Lempika, Ralph Lauren Romance.
Sporty/beach wear: Elizabeth Arden Green Tea

But after my pregnancy I realise my body chemical has changed, and the above fragrances, particularly the stronger ones, no longer smell good on me, need to revamp my fragance collection now!

i use the fragrance according to my mood actually~ if feeling girly that day, i will use vera wang floral princess, cheery will be escasda pacific paradise, and burberry brit sheer for everyday wear~

Same here! What I wear, my mood, the time of the day will influence the fragrance i use!

SKSG: I used to be like you too, but I'm such a scent junkie that I couldn't resist those unopened bottles of scent

ririan: haha if im wearing multi colors then i'll see which (color of the) bottle matches my outfit and select! haha and also saying that if the multi colors are like in a bright and cheerful theme i cant bring myself to spray stronger scents like midnight poison. i'll go for something matching like clinique happy

have lesser perfumes thus usually alternate between 2, one for everyday use which has to be light,citrus kinda scent that can brighten my day. hee
While the other one will be slightly stronger like those musky scent. And some for special occassions.

I never associated that scent with sports before you mention it!!!

I wear arden green tea to work coz it is the most subtle and calming scent on my desk of perfumes....

But now you mention it, it appears like a good idea too to wear it to work-out

it is also a very very light scent so it will not turn pungent after I work out for a while ... if you know what I meant

Wow! you girls actually put on perfume when u go to the gym? I usually go w/o perfume cos anyway going to end up all smelly and sweaty. hehe

Hey ririan, it never occurred to me before your post that getting pregnant could change the reactions of certain fragrances on our bodies! That makes perfect sense seeing as different people get different results with various scents depending on hormones and individual body types etcetera..

Something else to consider when I have babies hahaha..
