The dip in temperatures these days definitely opens up a different dimension to choice of perfume at least for me. It's like certain scents are made for cooler climates, tt's when their beauty shines.Exciting! Especially the heavier ones. Anyone feels the same about the seasonal shift?
Versace Crystal Noir, Mdm Jolie parfum are 2 dying to waft out of my closet.
totally agree. Opium comes to mind, and somehow the richer colored hues of certain fragrances appeal much more too, a warm enveloping embrace ... mmmmm
So true, and so sensually described by both of you![]()
You're spot on, happybean:
Cold weather makes fragrance molecules less volatile, which means they last longer. In fact one spritz of a heavy, spicy, aromatic scent may take you through the entire day without having to reapply. Heady, sensual oriental fragrances with amber and musk are top choices for the chilly season. Try Cinnabar by Estee Lauder and Opium by Yves Saint Laurent. Nada recommends the legendary Chanel No 5, which contains aldehydes of ylang ylang, jasmine from Grasse (the centre for perfume manufacturing in the South of France) and woody vetiver.
