Very subtle, the scent doesn't overwhelm but rather reveals itself to only the most intimate acquaintances.

wow any idea what the price range is like? i really love marc jacobs but i also have my eye set on at least 2 other fragrances!!

OK all you Marc Jacobs fans...I got my MJ Shimmering Perfumed Body Powder in the mail today (*waves* to my partner in crime) and it's GORGEOUS!

It is also....a WHOPPING big container and even if I powdered myself everyday from head to toe, I think I would never be able to finish it on my own.

I tried that at their counter at Lane Crawford in Hong Kong last week. This has a little shimmer effect. Very nice with the white pouch. I put a little on my wrist but can't really smell it unless I lift my hands.

They also have a parfume that comes with a similar white pouch too. Very elegant.

Yaya.. that's the one. It's retailing for HK$800. The SA was trying to physco me to get that but it's just a teeny weeny little bottle. Anyway, I bought the Shimmer body powder so this has got to wait for a while later.

I have the shimmer powder and the perfume (the EDP though, not the Parfum). Like Nic said, staying power ain't great but I've found that I can make it last longer by layering the scented shimmer powder WITH the spray perfume.

I want to get the Parfum next....the scent in its purest form. ANd yeah, gotta love MJ packaging!

P.S. I've heard rumblings that the body lotion kinda stinks....those who have tried it says it smells nothing like the original perfume....smells very watered down and cheap. So you've been warned!

kill me ***! There is no way i am going to pay $170+ for a such a small perfume... unless that is a 200ml one instead!! hahahah, i got freak out by the price already... so no way no way.....

Girls...Which do you prefer? The first Marc Jacobs perfume or the Essence? My girlfriends seem to think that the perfume has a rather common smell....what do you think? I just saw them both at Tangs and I want to get one, but both smell so similar that I can't decide...Also, I don't know if I can justify the price if they do smell 'common'....

Hi fushia,

I tried both the EDT and the Essence yesterday at Tangs. I prefer the Essence as it is milder and somehow powdery, which tones down the fresh sharpness of the original EDT.

I'm tempted to get this and use as an everyday work scent.
