I do agree that Demeter don't last at all. I had Earl Grey as well but swap it away even though my bf likes this one.Originally posted by bluebubble
but demeter scents last for all of 5 minutes on me
i've a bottle of earl gray tea on my dresser (wave to pan) and i like the jasminey scent but i'm *** wondering if it'll last all of 6 mins on me at all
I've been using Anna Sui Love. Used to use Polo Sport but that's long ago. I'm not big on scents actually heh. Most of the time I go out without spritzing on anything, only if I remember to. I like the sample of MMU Lemon Pound Cake Stella sent me though! I'm also big on musky scents, & I prefer wearing guys perfume!

I spritz my fragrance only 2x everyday....and this is a light scent as well! Maybe nobody can smell it, hence no compliments??But any more than 2 spritzes and my nose will feel itchy. I can't imagine what would happen if I used Farah's method...probably pass out!!!
For evenings and for going out, I like doing this: squirt about 10x into the space just in front of me (don't stand downwind!!!) and then walk into that perfumed air. The scent settles everywhere....on my hair, skin, clothes....and consequently lasts longer (I think!).![]()
I do that too! But my bf laughs at me whenever he sees me doing it. He thinks I look funny walking into the mist with my eyes closed.Originally posted by pandora76

my friends recognize me by my scents! and everytime i buy a new scent, they'll go "it's so you!" if it's fresh-floral-oceanic
anyway, my most complimented on scents are:
Freedom by Tommy Hilfiger (one of my favs)
L'Eau D'Issey (common but it's so light and fresh)
Ralph - Ralph Lauren
Tommy Girl - Tommy Hilfiger (some pple didn't like this on me tho. but i liked it. a v 'warm', 'amber-ish' scent)
Other noteworthy ones are:
Pleasures - Estee (liked it initially. but then soon after the launch EVERY OTHER ah-lian, ah-huay, ah-sai was wearing it everywhere. and in the EDP form no less. got too overpowering and cloying. the perfume also spoils quite fast compared to my other ones. my EDP now smells 'musty')
Happy - Clinique (v 'summer-y', 'powder-y' fragrance. i normally don't like the powdery types, but this was nice)
Envy - Gucci (same as Pleasures. overused)
Here's my frag list. Preference is in order:
-Marc Jacobs EDP (My new fave from swap! Can't bare its expensive $$$. Love the scent very much. It's very warm sweet scent-gardenia-which last longer than other frag. One reason is it's EDP, not EDT. Made/manufactured by Givenchy FYI)
-Gucci Rush 2 EDT (dont like Rush 1 tho)
-Bvlgari Eau Fraiche EDT
-Kenzo Parfum D'Ete EDT (packaged like a leaf)
-Givenchy Fleur d'interdit EDP (sweet and intense scent. More like a night time frag)

Oh Pan, pls do share! Any method/tricks to make the scent stay longer?
But some tips for making scent stay longer, which I've read before in an article...
1. use EDP rather than EDT (which you're already doing with your Marc Jacobs right? Incidentally, MJ is my scent of the moment too.)
2. dab the perfume on pulse points (wrists, behind ears, knees). When dabbing onto wrists, do NOT rub them against each other...a lot of people do this but perfume experts say this will just distort the scent and make it evaporate faster.
3. try the "layering" technique. Use bath and hair products in the same fragrance as your perfume. This will build up the scent in layers, and will make it last longer throughout the day.
That's all I know!![]()

so evil!! but so true too!!!!
I keep rotating scents... i don't like keep using one for a long time(read years).
Still loving these:-
Fujiyama - smells similar to CK one.
Escada Sexy Griffiti
Babydoll shimmer EDT
Used to be my faves:-
Lancome Tresor - smells like roses...but i don't really like it now.
EL Pleasures
EL Dazzling Gold
Chanel Allure
Dislike these fragrances:-
Clinique Happy - having nausea if i smell this. But it smells good on my sis.
Clinique Aromatics - Yikes, i don't like this!
EL Pleasures Intense
Thinking of trying these:-
Celine EDP
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle EDT/EDP
dol, i used to like tresor too but i cannot stand the smell now! kinda like coco mademoiselle too but it turned so musky when i spray on a piece of those paper tester & smell it @ day's end...the paper cld hv been scented prior to me spraying mademoiselle methinks!
Tresor is too rosey, i also can't stand the smell. I used to go crazy for it years ago because one of my girlfriend was using that too!Originally posted by farahdean

Agreed that Coco Madmeoiselle is musky...i'm still thinking whether i should get. Did you try spraying it on your wrist?
I was told by one Escentials SA that the darker the color of the perfume, the long lasting it is. Is this true?
heee we love tresor for the same reason...LOLOriginally posted by dolphin

hmmm so mademoiselle is really musky! no *** did not try on my hands.

hmmm...Got to test this coco mademoiselle EDT/EDP again to confirm if it is suitable for me.
I notice EL's perfume are usually yellow, brown... only pleasure is white. Yes they are cloying, but if spray sparingly, it should be ok.![]()
sparingly? what is that? it does not exist in my dictionary of perfume application...*LOL*Originally posted by dolphin
