Default How to flatten your tummy!

Here's a special exercise specifically developed to flatten tummies:

    - First, stand up tall, then think about drawing your belly button towards your spine.
    - You are not sucking in your breath, you are using your abs to do this. Once your belly button is drawn it, it automatically activates your transverse abdominal muscle.
    - Try to keep your belly button in as you breathe normally. Practice a few times until it becomes comfortable.

I use this exercise myself to keep my own tummy flat. The best part about this exercise is that you can do it anytime, every day!

BTW, I am a certified Pilates instructor (I give private pilates classes) and I have coached my clients to do this and it's helped them to flatten their tummies faster!

The above exercise does work. My mum (she's not a pilates instructor btw, just a homemaker) told us to do this often but me just plain lazy . My kid sister was more hardworking and this exercise sort of became a habit.

I think I should start doing now

haha my father told me to this this and it did work..but I now I don't dare to let my tummy "fall out".. I'm scared of the sight! It does help give the illusion of a flatter tummy.

My personal yoga instructor also told me the same thing! So it's a PILATES move? Well anyway whatever it is, basically it helps you to practice the habit of sucking your tummy in, not really losing the fats actually.

On a side note, there's this yoga posture I practice, although it didn't really make my tummy flatter, but it kinda gave me the toned look I've always wanted... don't know how to describe though...

Of course! As you can see many of the cotters here practise this as a habit, so definitely you can do it while sitting down~
