Most banks in SG should be able to provide the loan for those with income <$30K.
MAS has revised the regulations, but is it really useful as compare to having credit cards?
The rates r lower?? What's the meaning of personal loan - same as credit line?

From personal painful experiences during my younger days, not matter how desperate you are, DO NOT make use of loan facilities via your credit cards or cash advances. That would be the silliest thing to do as the interest rates are exponential, meaning there is interests charged on top of monthly rolling interest rates and late charges. You will find yourself in deep trouble within 12 months if you do adopt these measures. Your credit line will be affected when you needa apply for housing loans and job hunting in some cases, esp if you are applying fo a govt job.
Most credit card companies and banks only tell you half the truth when they offer these loan facilities. They sell on low interest rates when in fact there are alot of hidden tiny prints such as non-early repayment clauses.
If one really needs cash and has no other means of help, a personal loan from banks [not thru credit cards] will a better option. I can't elaborate too much here as I do not wana be accused of afvertising. Do PM me, if you wish to know more.

There are many licensed moneylenders who provide loan in Singapore, with loans in Singapore like personal loan, low income loan, short term loan and payday loan.

Due to my bad credit records (which i have cleared), I am still unable to loan from bank till next year.

I'm actually looking at licensed moneylenders in Singapore. To me, they are just licensed loansharks. Are they really safe to get loan from? Also what will be their interests? Is there any recommendatio on reliable moneylenders?

There are clusters of moneylenders providing loans in Singapore in Beach Road and Chinatown, For Beach Road area, you can try Golden Mile tower, Sultan Plaza and Textile centre while for Chinatown, Pearl Hill Terrace have a good number of them so you can go there and ask around.

    Default Licensed moneylender in Singapore

There's a blog about loansharks posing as licensed moneylender in Singapore, using calls/SMSes to get people to take loan in Singapore like a low income loan in Singapore from them. So do be careful if you receive calls/SMSes from unknown people offering you loans, as licensed moneylenders are not allowed to do telemarketing.

This is dangerous! I dont want to be mixed up with illegal moneylenders. I am still safe with going to the bank to loan for money. Thanks for this tip!
