Hi everyone,
I need some advice here. Which biomedical Science Degree is better? from PSB or MDIS. PSB is from UWA but is 4 years without honours degree whereas MDIS is from Uni of Bradford but is 3years honours degree. PSB campus is nearest to my house. I heard Uni of Bradford is more a business Uni.
Can anyone provide me with more info. Anyone who is currently studying in either PSB Biomedical Degree or MDIS Biomedical Degree please advise on class schedules like how frequent a week, how many exams, any assignments, school fees, lecturers in either school, payment.
Thanks alot
aijneixa: hi babe, from my point of view, i think you should take PSB biomedical sciences. It is more recognized, and is from UWA, even after graduate, your cert will still be certified as a full-time degree cert. also, the lessons is about 3-4 days per week. usually labs are on saturday mornings. also, their timetable varies, as in, every week, the lesson days are different, maybe this week is mon, wed, fri, next week might be wed, thurs, fri. something like that.
i have friends inside, and they said that classes are enjoyable. i'm also planning to take PSB too, but probably taking molecular biotechnology instead. school fees is about 40K for the 4 years. varies up and down. around there. and, 8 weeks/semester, we only require to take 1 module/semester. and, we are require to pay school fees only every 6 months, which is 3 modules/6 months. and, each module cost about $1500. so, for 6 months, usually pay around $4500 for 3 modules. but you might have exemptions once you submit your registration, so maybe you only need to take up 1-2 modules/6 months. all depends on the results you are submitting.
hope all this information helps!![]()
Hi ginaleech,
Thanks for your info and advice... I forgot to mention that I would be doing the degree part time as I am working full time. Hm....labs on sat morning, I have to work alternate sat. Are labs are on every sat?
1 thing that is putting me on hold is that the one offered by PSB is not an honours degree and it takes 4 years....
Anyone can advice on that?
aijneixa: yes, their degree is offered as part time for all the science courses. and, the honours will be after 4th year, and if your results meets the requirements for honours, then you can take. and also, it will also be in PSB too.
and labs, usually is saturdays, but i know is not every saturdays. timetable is given for 2 months one.hths!
