Does anyone know if one who is in private institution and have a diploma in ba will get any exemption from foundation or further units from UOL?
no one knows or with successful case??
you can email the uol people at emfssexams@lon.ac.uk directly to get a direct answer
agree with ZannZann, either email uol or check with your private institution directly regarding exemptions.
i do know of friends who have been exempted, but i've also heard of rumours that exemption actually leads to just a "pass" grade for unit that is exempted and hence they actually encourage you not to, but i'm not too sure about this point. but i do know that uol encourages you not to exempt even if you are qualified to do so because if u're eligible to be exempted, chances are you should do well in that unit. because the honors is calculated using aggregate and number of honors, it should be in your interest to just do the unit.
Hi,
I was with SIM UOL before and if i recall correctly, SIM have helped us to checked with UOL before whether we are eligible for exemption based on our local poly diploma. UOL have reverted that we are not entitled for any exemption.
heard that it' quite hard to get exemptions from UOL as they are quite strict...not sure if that's really true though...like previous cotters have advised, guess it would be better for you to email UOL directly...from my past experience, their reply is usually quite prompt..
Im from SIM-UOL, with a diploma in banking and finance.
I applied for exemptions and had to take bridging course for maths and stats as well as Economics. If i pass those, I'll be exempted from those two.
I'm also exempted from Principles of Banking since I have a diploma in Banking n finance. I doubt for further units you'll be able to get exemptions. perhaps foundation mods.
