SINGAPORE : Private equity firm AIF Capital Management Asia will not proceed with a plan to buy a 10 per cent stake in China-based Oriental University City (OUC), owned by Singapore-listed Raffles Education.
Raffles Education disclosed this in a filing to the Singapore Exchange (SGX).
The company said AIF Capital decided to scrap the deal in view of recent global economic and market conditions.
The stake was valued at RMB350 million (S$70 million).

Anybody considered education in China? What about private education? I have friends who have had private education backgrounds and they seem to be doing pretty well in life.
