Accounting, auditing, bookkeeping

Currently holding a dip in chemical process. At my present job (laboratory based) now kinda have interest in auditing in areas like ISO 9001 14000 quality related, i am kind stuck as to dont know how do i proceed on. Is there courses for these and where to get them?? and after the course where can i go to?

u could try ACCA, an internationally acclaimed accounting body.

Timings r pretty flexible and no stringent entry requirements. Only thing is that it's a degree and would take pretty long to attain. I believe there is no short cut to get certified as a auditor.

i am currently going thru a private dip in accouting .. so will it be hard to get a job after that? and i had no working experience in this?

I am kinda worried as I am not any top student- my gpa is on the average side, so most likely I wont get a place into Local Uni due to strong competitiveness.

So I am planning to take ACCA after a couple yrs of working in future

but I'd like to know if accountants or auditors have good prospects?
Are they paid well???

I have heard pros and cons abt it.

I have friends who commented that there're too many Accounting students, competitive and hard to find jobs
but I also heard stuffs like Accountants & auditors do earn a lot and have very good prospects if they willing to work very hard & bear with the mundane job.


So which is the right one?
I hope to get a good paying job cox my family isnt doing well financially
and I have to help out a lot in time to come.

Im abt to graduate in 8months, with bachelor degree from University of Newcastle - PSB Academy. I am hoping to get internship from KPMG (if cannot get here then i'll find it in my home country, but here is better). I'm wondering with degree fom private university would i get hired :-S

kpmg does hire aussie grads. so dont need to worry.

auditirs are not paid as well as you think especially in the first few years. plus you are despised by the same people who has engaged your services yet you cannot retaliate in any way. there is alot of crap in audit so if you think you can tong... feel free to join one of the 4
