hi, may i ask you whether did u apply for university of sydney using ur A levels results? Did you manage to get straight As?
if not, after my degree, I will take A levels as a private candidate....else I really don't know what's my next alternative...
I did not do A levels. I was in Melbourne University doing commerce for one year, then I transferred to USyd. I got a GPA of 6.25, WAM 79.50. I am also a local Australian student so it is definitely much harder for me to get in than international students.
For international students, it should be quite easy at lower tier law schools (UWA, UQ, UTAS). However for higher tier schools (USYD, UNSW), it is much harder. University of Sydney has the highest undergraduate entrance score (or ATAR score as locals refer) in Australia.
USyd calculates GPA differently to Singapore. Max GPA you can get in Usyd is 7(high distinction), followed by 6(distinction), 5(credit), etc...

hi, erm......how much is the foundation course in total? Are you a singaporean?
anyway shootingstar, which subjects are u taking now?
Ok say take UNSW's foundation course, $20k a year. Look at this website. It's only advisable if you have spare cash lying around. Anyway how old are you? And yes, I'm a singaporean PR.
wa....thats quite a lot....but i am planning to save up to go to UK law schools.... I am 27 this year... how about you?
thankew...you study hard too and wish you well...
Hi,
Could anyone advise me, as I'm interest in apply for diploma in law. But there are few training providers namely Stansfield, ITC, SAA. Could anyone advise me on the school? is there whom has been to the school before? pls advise. thanks
though i had not studied in any of the institutes, but i had done some reading and most people recommends ITC. i was planning to study at ITC for LLB though, after my diploma at SP next year.. Having dilemma now....one problem is i'm interested in law and i know that my grades would absolutely not get me into SMU or NUS. so ITC UOL external LLB is my only choice in singapore.. but its all-known that it does not entitle me to practice law in Singapore. how frustrating~~~nevertheless i still have a diploma in tourism and resort management, but if depending on that would be just moving backwards.
