Considered taking it but haven't because there are just too many options out there. Don't know what is accredited and what isn't. Its mostly only for Aust/US/Canada right? Are u thinking of teaching overseas or in Singapore?

Eh, its just something I'm interested in. I know of a centre that is accredited with Cambridge and is registered with MOE. I'm looking to apply for jobs here, but also it will be cool to volunteer/teach overseas in those 3rd world countries during the holidays.

Well TESOL doesn't look very popular in Singapore, we tend to use CELTA more. Can check up British Council for that.

I would suggest CELTA too, especially if you intend to work elsewhere. It may not be the best, but it's widely recognised as a reputable entry-level qualification. I did CELTA in 2003 and am still in the industry.

seresha, may I found out where you took your CELTA? I asked around and some told me they went for intensive 1 mth courses in cheap cities like Bangkok!

Saresha, I looked up CELTA at the British Council, but its all fulltime on weekdays and I'm working fulltime too so there's no way I could do that. Anyways, so what're you working as now? Are you teaching in Singapore or overseas?

I have $5450 worth of credit with Brookes Business School. (Meaning I have put a deposit of $5450 with them)
Anyone who is interested to further study with Brookes (Be it Diploma / Degree / Masters), I am willing to transfer you the $5450 worth of credits at only $4500.

You can use this $5450 to pay for your school fee.
Save up $950 with this method!!

Reason why I'm doing this is cause I need cash urgently.
And the school is not willing to do a refund. Thus, the only way out, is to transfer the value to another person taking a course with them.

Anyone who is interested, pls PM me.
We can go down to the school together.

*Mods, I hope u will not delete this. Cause I really need help on this. Thanks!!*

I forgot to check back, sorry! I did CELTA at RMIT in Melbourne, because I wasn't willing to wait for the course at British Council to start. There isn't anywhere else you can do it in Singapore, unfortunately.

3 years after I got my CELTA, I went back to Melbourne to do my Master's degree (Applied Linguistics specialising in TESOL). I'm now teaching full-time in Singapore.

    Saresha,

Do you mind to share with me regarding CELTA? What is the major different?
I am interested in taking TESOL as my school required. However, I am clueless
about it. I checked with local provider for TESOL. http://www.teachtesol.org/

    TIA =)
