    Default Piano Lessons

Hmm interested to take up private piano lessons as I didn't get a chance to do so last time.. Any reccomendations for experienced private teachers in the West area (preferably Clementi)?

    Thanks!

Also, are Cristofori pianos good enough for beginners? Thinking of getting an affordable one for now since I'm just starting out.

I'm about to start my piano lessons and have recently gotten one Wendl & Lung piano at $3,800. A good Yamaha will set me back at least $8,000. My brother once sold off his Kawai piano and the shop only bought it from him at 50% of the price he paid. So, even if a Yamaha has a terrific resale value, the amount I can get back could be only $6,000 (if I am lucky). If the shop took it back at 50%, I already lose $4000, which is about the same price I paid for my Wendl & Lung. My prepaid of the other $4000 could have been used for something else. Anyway, that's my rationale for buying a beginner's piano.

    Default Rate of Piano Courses

I am interested in taking up some courses to spend my time meaningfully and hopefully, know some nice friends. Any ideas?

Apart from that, I am also interested in taking up piano lessons. I found out that there is this music school at Whitesands Mall, Seimpi School Of Music, which offers individual classes, once a week, 45 mins, at $150 per month. Is it cheap or expensive? What is the market rate like?

Does $150 per mth includes both theory and practical? how about materials?
At Yamaha, individual lessons ( theory & practical) cost $123.05 per month, 45mins per week.

I should think it includes theory and practical, not too sure about the materials though.

Do you know anywhere near Pasir Ris that got cheap and good piano lessons?

    hi,

I have been teaching piano close to 8 yrs. The rate for beginner is 120 per month for 45 minutes. I am teaching at my home studio in hougang.

For cristofori school, i think they are charging cheaper, but some schools are expensive too. it really depends.

    Hi angelcat,

    Have Pm you.

Maybe you also want to ask around for the music school around your area, so you don't have to travel that much. It's a long term commitment, so it's better to select a place that's more convenience for you. Or maybe your parents could ferry you?

Hi think $150 a month for piano quite exp. market rate for school should be about $90-120 i guess. i paid $90 per month last time for my child's lessons

so can i know the rate here for yamaha and seimpi is it for INDIVIDUAL or GROUP coaching?

    FOREX
so you stay in hougang? and your rate is for INDIVIDUAL coaching? and also what is the time slot that you can provide? and also can tell me more about your grade and also teaching method, like will you teach from the very basic and so on in progressive manner? and also will i be taking examination after each grade and all that? sorry to ask so many questions here.
