cUp, I think basically there's not much difference. Accounts is more on experience. 2 of my friends, 1 a NTU graduate & the other a ACCA got a job in the big 4s. How is your studies, girl?
dodo, what do you mean by CPF course?
What's the cost like for a CFA course?
Hi enchante, have you checked out the website (listed on page 1 of this thread) for the registration and exam fees? If you're looking to attend the guided tutorial classes, I think FTC & FTMS are some of the schools that have such classes.
I can help you find out the fees in school today. I'm with FTMS.![]()
Those big4 will sponsor you for CFA, given that you are in their banking division..
wow really..but i've no experience..ahah wait till i've completed level1..they take in level 1 student?
you should go in earlier so that they will pay for all your school fees..but it comes with a price...cause of the hectic working hours..you might not have the timet to study...
As far as I know, they take in people doing their level 2 or higher.Originally Posted by cUp

im with FTC!taking papers 1.1 and 1.2 this coming june.....i mean exam
Gals, just came across the thread and thought I can help clarify something on the CFA and CPA course fees...
The big 4 firms will pay for the CPA course fees (pass required but shouldn't be a problem) but for CFA course fees (a pass is required), it is subjected to the respective firms' policies. I do know that for PWC, the reimbursement is available for employees under the financial services/advisory department.
CFA course fees depends on whether you going to attend classes or not. If you are studying on your own, you can purchase the study kit from FTC.
FTC also provides CFA course..classes will be on weekends. As for the exact course fees you will have to check out with FTC. (Sorry)..
IMO,CFA course will be more relevant for those who intends to pursue their career in the banking industry..because you would be studying financial markets, bonds etc..
Bigmummy: My colleague passed her FRM last december..don't think its a new course..what you wish to know about this course?you can post the questions and i will help you ask my colleague...
Cup: you started preparing your exams for your June exam already??all the best girl..im also taking my exams this coming June..3 papers to take..so stress!! This will be your first try..give it your best shot!! then i can see your photo on FTC newsletter if you are the top 3 students..![]()
