does anyone know of a good school in sg to learn korean? Have taken beginner's class before at peninsula plaza, but I dun really like the school there, abit disorganized. Seems quite hard to find a korean language school. Any recommendations? thanks!

hope that this doesnt come too late, i took my lessons at cambridge language (peninsula plaza) the teacher is an authetic korean who came to singapore, she's very good as she can speaks both english and korean. we address her as miss kim. She also teaches private in groups. perhaps you may want to check cambridge language school out too?
hi, am quite keen too
is it easier to pick up if ur younger?
krispourri , it actually doesnt matters how old you are. it's more of how much you are willing to put into learning a new language as it requires alot of time and patience to do. So it's not an age issue. No worries.

I'm currently taking classes at NUS extension. Its about 320 for the entire course. 10 weeks. If you guys plan to go there, go for the Ebony Bae classes. Haha she's really good.

You don't need to be a NUS student. Cause I'm a SMU student myself. I think the next intake should be around april but you can check the nus extension website. It has a timetable but does not state which timeslot is taught by which instructor.
HTH!
ok thanks! so i jus go nus website? anyway out of topic, does nus extension also haf jap cls?
This is the webpage of NUS extension, particuarlly language courses http://www.nus.edu.sg/nex/list_lllan.htm
To those who have taken a korean course before, is $320 for 10 lessons a reasonable price?
And hi kilaalaa hows the class conducted? Does the instructor ask everyone to repeat after him/her, or ask someone to read out a passege, or pair up to have a conversation with your classmates? Never went for any language course before so just wondering how the lesson is conducted.
Thank you gal!! may go and learn but im scared it will be too difficult for me.. or maybe in the end i'll choose to study back jap..
is there any community center in the west that gives korean classes? Thanks.
just trying to upz this page... from what i gather so far, the few schools mentioned are the NUS extension, Cambridge Language school and the Singapore Korean School. Any other good recommendation?
For NUS extension, how long is a lesson?
You mean Stella Kim? Yup she taught me before.Originally Posted by chocolatemousse

I only took basic korean. Forgetting 60% of it as I don't really practice.![]()
