Hi poisoncell and tricia,
Please refrain from the use of SMS short-forms, non-standard spelling, and Singlish expressions in your posts. CozyCot is a place where people from all over the world meet and share information. It makes for easy understanding for everyone by typing out your words properly, for example, 'just' and 'friends' instead of "j u z" and "frens"respectively. This has been outlined in our Bulletin Forum Rules #5. Please edit your post accordingly.
Thank you for understanding.

Anyone taking EI (Economics of Industry) or SAMC this semester?
hi cooler0821,
do give MDIS a call as the course consultant will be best to give you their advice on the various course that is being carried. if you actually read some of my post, should have guess that i am working at MDIS now, but not in the department to give great advice. sorry.![]()
Just some facts for you at this point:
MDIS currently locates at 501 Stirling Road, which is the UniCampus.
There is full time and part time classes running. Depending on your schedules, there are classes running from 9am - 10 pm. (evening classes are mainly for part-time students)
MDIS runs classes from dip-adv dip-undergraduate degree-postgrad degree.
Most of the courses are run as off-shore correspondence. Meaning that you will get the certificate from the respective Uni.
This is all that i know..
HTHs.
Btw, you can take a look at other institution like MIS(marketing institute of Singapore) and SIM that also do run this sort of courses.

If you want to take up Business Courses, then I would highly recommend you to go to SIM or other government affliated ones. They are more reliable.
Hi cooler. I've done the Adv Dip in Business Mgmt and it's great. You really learn alot. It's jointly awarded by MDIS and University of Bradford in the UK. Following this you can proceed to the degree course and skip the 1st year as the Adv Dip is actually the same level as 1st year dip.
i was thinking of taking up the business management by university of bradford degree..is it good??
Not in a position to answer whether is it good or not, but I think it's best for you to get the details of the course (modules sypnosis) and decide for yourself whether are those modules what you look forward to doing. if others were to give good comments but you ended up without enjoying all the modules, defeats the purpose of studying right?
I duno what other ppl’s opinion. But in my personal experience, I think it’s useless. I suggest you go SIM or SMU or study full time in MDIS. Im now in my final year, results had been dropping, wasting my money on supp papers. Im paying more than other ppl to get a stupid ordinary degree. Maybe it’s due to my work commitment. If you want to study part-time, you have to really put in a lot of effort.Originally Posted by esined
