hi chiroptera,
from what i gathered, bank loans' interest are usually quite high. My friend recommended this company call TCC (www.tcc.org.sg), their interest rate is 4.5%, the lowest i can find.
Hey! I have already got a place at UniSa from APMI. I am definitely very impressed with their administrative staff and their efficiency. So far they have given me a very good impression. I certainly hope that the lecturers are up to standard.
Anyone of you doing your Masters in Counselling with them??![]()
i'm in dilemma, would SIM-RMIT Bach of Arts (Mass Comm) better than APMI-UniSA Bach of Arts (Comm & Media Mgt) HELP!!!

hi chocolicious.... kinda in that dilemma too although i've enrolled for SIM's.... but i heard RMIT is more recognised....Originally Posted by chocolicious
RaChie_B: the durations are both 1.5 years. fees : APMI-UniSA approx 15K, SIM-RMIT approx 13K. there isn't a big difference are there?
previous entry on this thread said UniSA is more recognised than Monash, not sure what about comparing to RMIT?
hi chocolicious, i never do much research & homework. However i heard that although SIM's fees are lower, they may have some hidden costs such as the cost off materials/ books are not included in the fee.Originally Posted by chocolicious
I did double confirmed with APMI whether the $15,800 course fees include EVERYTHING & they said yes, absolutely no hidden cost. Overall, summary of the pros & cons is as below:
APMI
- Centralized location (easy access from my workplace & home)
- No hidden costs
- 100% foreigh lecturers
- No exams
- 15 months completion
- Well recognised Uni
- Alumni mainly in the media industry
SIM
- location too far. Its in Clementi while I stay in Hougang
- May have hidden cost
- 18 months completion (longer compared to APMI)
As for the rest of the info on SIM such as the curriculum & studying hours, I'm not too sure. However the location is the main decision factor. As I'm doing it part time, i can't affort to travel far. Hope this helps...

wow that a good information. I thinking of taking APMI as well. Thank for the info.![]()

Hey gals!
Do not forget that if you are enrolling into APMI, and if you know of someone who is already a student, there will be a referral fee. Then you and your friend can split the referral fee!![]()
How much is the referral fee?
I heard frm my fren told me before. It still ongoing ?
Hi Rachie B,
u're welcome! U may want to ask more info from SIM & compare further if you want.
Hi satinchris,
I did not take up the loan from TCC cos my MIL decided to loan me some money. On my side, I will still come up with some money on my own by saving every month from my salary cos i don't want to borrow the whole sum from her..
Do you have any savings? Try to see how much you can come up with & then see how much you need to loan, rather than loan the whole sum cos it will be quite tough to return back next time.
Yup! The referral is still ongoing. It's $350Originally Posted by RaChie_B
