I'm thinking to take up Bachelors of Arts in Business Information Technology from Coventry Uni provided by Auston Institute in SG.
But worrying about the recognition and reputation of this uni.
Appreciate any help...

It's a low tier uni.
I guess i'm taking as this is quite relavant to my work and also i'm comfortable with the course.

why don't you attend the pre departure briefing? They will touch on those subj and they will also invite ex-students from the various uni too so you can ask them questions.

I worry about discrimination too but i guess as long as you don't hang out in your own group (as in all asians) and mix with the others, it should be ok.

Hi geejass,

You must be mentally prepared to be independent. Have to settle everything by yourself and learn how to protect yourself. Whatever you do, think of yourself first. Bring along lotsa of medicine, just in case you cannot adapt to the weather/season. Esp during the transition of the season.

Also, must learn to handle your own homesick.

As for the cultural shock, there are bound to be.. depending on the place you stay eg, if you are staying in the hall of residence, your exposure and cultural shock will be greater. However, you will get use to it in no time. Just accept things in an open mind. So far, I have not really encounter discrimination but somehow, I do feel some are not comfortable with Asians. Dun worry about that, as we asians are sometimes no comfortable to mix ard with the brits too.
