can i ask something? is it true that in SG, you cannot practise as a psychologist unless you get a degree in both psychology and medicine? cos that's what i heard from people, but dunno if it's true. then if you obtain a degree in psychology but no med, then only can practise overseas like in states or aust?
what jobs can a degree in psychology lead you to?
No, you don't have to study medicine. Just study 6 years (Bachelor and Masters) minimum in the area that you want to practise in.
actually am thinking of taking this course for a while...
but, any idea where can I get a diploma instead of a degree? Am not really sure if this is my interest now...
there are not much opportunities for a dip psych holder... think carefully before you invest your money.
NUS extension offers a professional diploma:

taking my degree with kaplan now, psychology and marketing management.
quite an interesting subject but somehow there are alot of reading and reading and theory...
abit worried about my studies, really gtta have time to read, and also with a degree, cannot practice as a psychologist, min masters.
hope to get thru my degree and look at my options by then
NaSoNeX, thanks for your info. Actually, am unsure what i want now.. so thought of taking something to study..
bumping it up!
anyone took part-time psychology course for interest sake? its really expensive coz i cannot see how it can help in my career, even if i do a career switch. coz psychology is useful when u really pursue it to at least a masters! im in engineering field btw.. and the money could be put to better use in future..
