    An interesting school tidbit:
I was picking up a couple of MBA brochures for a friend after class today, and spoke briefly to the course consultant. I wanted to know if the UWA course was new, and he said that it wasn't new in Singapore, just new to PSB. Previously, they were with another provider here for 5 years. He commented that "they must have left for a reason", and while he's hardly unbiased, I have to agree. Anyone know who the ex-provider was?

zjaninez, TMC is bad on customer service.
I did a semester in TMC with Deakin and they sort of screwed up my life abit.
However I did maintain contact with the lecturers on my own, so i was able to scrap thru the units.
They are also one of the reasons why I made the transfer to Deakin in the end.

I guess in reference to the uni course, it is important to do the units that is relevant to the field you want to pursue in your career.

whatever school u choose, really i feel it doesnt matter however, if any case, if you are doing distance learning, off campus support is rather important

Googling turned up this information very quickly: MBA is more general, while MIB specifically focuses on international business.

Are you a grad? If so, you might consider a postgrad diploma, like this one at SIM:

    Default PSB and more questions

    hi all,
I'm currently considering PSB, UWA BSc (sport science). Do anybody has any comments on its accredition in Singapore? I'm wondering also if this BSc course is "recognised" in Singapore's civil servie sector..

In addition, do ppl do a degree in sports science and then take a graduate dip or masters in hr management? I was thinking that by doing that it could open more doors to a variety of industries..

Any imput on accredition or recommendations for further studies after sport science degree??
    thanks!

I took up my business course at BMC. Really regretted going there. All textbook and notes we have to pay ourself, and the lecturer just read out all the words from the textbook, then i might as well read it myself. During that time i have some work problem and couldn't take the evening off to attend my courses, and i actually request to delay my course to afew months later. They do not accept my request and i have to waste my 3k just like that as i can't attend the courses at all.

Hi Niko, I just completed my Diploma in Business Management with MIS mid last year. Overall, I find the lecturers helpful and willing to teach & share. So i'll encourage you to go for it. =)
