Fraud Spree Sites! Ladies Please Beware!

Please beware of this spree site (www.nicespree.blogspot.com - Btw, site has been deleted )
It is a FRAUD. The person who set up the spree has the intention to cheat $$$.
Alot of people has been affected.

An estimate of at least 5K to 10K have been scammed by that cheater.

Are you one of the victims? Please do not hesitate to head down to the nearest police station and make a police report.

wow. how can the person be cheated of $600? Thats a lot of money to be placed with strangers! If its a local IP address, the person also very stupid and greedy. Shouldnt have cheated so many people and so big sum. furthermore, local IP address means charged by police as its local people who did it. hope those who get cheated will get money back

Well, besides organizing sprees, that person actually provide spree services to other resellers.
I have circle that part in red.

Summerberries, i think can warn them about this to take note of..
Those blogshop that are just setup not long ago (very recent ones) and have about the same template as nicespree. Could be scammers.
They just use the least effort to setup spree webpage. Very fast and easy. Then start advertising everywhere, selling cheap.

Hmm, I think if we were to stand in her position, I am sure she has got no choice but to do this. Imagine having to wait for these irresponsible pple in vain, cannot reach them on phone, emails anymore. The least the seller could do is to inform other pple how bad these 'potential buyers' are.

oh my goodness!
i came across nicespree some time back and had it in my favourites cos i got so excited with the hugeeee variety of sprees they do. even though i browse it every other day, i haven't really had time to spree. phew.
but even LJ has so many cheaters nowadays. so scary to shop online.

I think LJ sprees have problems with a handful of organisers all of which spree-ers had gone down to make a police report but to no avail.

Check out today's Today newspaper. There is an article on the nicespree fraud. A 28 old man and his 19yr old gf are caught and may be jailed up to 7 years if convicted.

There is finally justice amidst all the online fraud cases.

Yeah! I read the article in Today papers too! The police are still urging those who have been scammed by these two scumbags to lodge a report. Those who have yet to report to the police, please do so! Bring these scumbags to justice!

Police have arrested a 28-year-old Chinese man and his 19-year-old girlfriend on suspicion of cheating over 40 online shoppers of almost $10,000.

Between 19 Sep 07 and 18 Oct 07, Police received reports from more than 40 victims who had transferred money to the suspects for goods purchased over the internet from 'nice-spree.blogspot.com and nicespree.blogspot.com'. The goods were not delivered even though money had been transferred. The victims were also unable to contact the suspects.

The suspects were traced and an ambush laid. A computer and a handphone were been seized for investigations from the man's residence at Tampines.

Commander Bedok Police Division, Deputy Assistant Commissioner Lim Kok Thai said, “ Let this be a strong signal to would-be criminals that police take a very serious view of such offences and will go all out to apprehend those that break the law. In addition, Police remind members of public to be cautious when making purchases online."

Police urge anyone who had bought items from the 2 websites and are facing a similar predicament to call the Police hotline at 1800-255 0000.

The suspects will be charged in court on 25 Oct 07 for the offence of Cheating under Sec 420 of the Penal Code, Cap 224. If convicted, both suspects faces a jail term of up to 7 years.
