Tea Tree Oil

We know that no matter what your age, oily skin, perspiration, and everyday exposure can lead to blemishes which can cause worry, stress, and feeling self-conscious. And, of course, all of those can lead to even more skin issues. No matter what form they may take – blackheads, acne, or pimples – our Tea Tree line is one of your best and most natural treatment options.

What causes breakouts?

Most often, acne and breakouts occur when your hair follicles become clogged with excess oil and dead skin cells. Sometimes these clogged pores become infected and inflamed resulting in pimples and acne. Many of us make this problem worse by using harsh products and scrubs that over dry and irritate the skin, leading to more acne. The key to truly clear and radiant skin is to create a balance; controlling excess oil while soothing inflamed and irritated pores.

How does Tea Tree work?

Our Tea Tree line uses a combination of natural Community Trade ingredients, including organic tea tree oil, to gently treat and prevent blemishes for clear skin confidence everyday.
  • Organic tea tree oil controls oil, combats existing blemishes, and prevents new ones without over-drying skin.
  • Peppermint essential oil cools and refreshes skin.
  • Lemon essential oil refreshes and invigorates the skin and has a refreshing aroma.
  • Tamanu Oil has soothing properties that prevent dryness and reduce scarring.

I have dry, aging skin and acne at the same time. I really need to try something that won't contribute to the drying and that will help heal damage from acne, and help prevent it without irritating my skin. I've heard tea tree oil can do amazing things, and I've been really curious if it would work for me.

I came to know of TBS Tea Tree from a friend that it is good for breakouts, prevent blemish and controling oil.

I give it a try and it works wonders. Not only it does clear out my breakouts and also control the oil sebum. After washing with the foam, my face feel light, cooling and refreshed.

Tea Tree range is not suitable only for the ladies but for the guys as well.

the scent of tea tree soothe me, not to mention all the amazing effects it can do to acne prone skin.
I would love to try products with tto in it and see how it can work wonders on my skin.

I believe the body shop has done research on how to maximize the effect of tea tree oil in the various products and I can't wait to try them on and spread it to my friends :D

I have oily/combi skin and have been trying out many different types of product till i chanced on TBS tea tree series after tryin out the seaweed series.

The scent, which was an important factor for me, was not too overpowering. After applying the toner, I dont feel stingy feeling on my pimples unlike some other products that I use.
I also see the effect just after a few days. My pimple affected area was less red and the pimples are healing faster. I used this series with the seaweed series alternatively to control my oilness on the face. The facial wash is not very drying as well yet I feel clean.

I will still continue to use these products as they are affordable and yet yield results. Thumbs Up.

Tea Tree Blackhead Exfoliating Wash

The very moment i saw this product showcasing at the racks, i knew i'm going to get it and was very excited about the effects !

First trial, the smell, not overpowering and i think its rather acceptable for me. The tiny bits that is in the wash that helps to exfoliates dead skin and blackheads is amazing ! it helps to make the skin smoothers and more supple after the wash ! Its rather mild and suitable for regular usage too !

thanks bodyshop for coming up with a new range of tea tree product !

loving the wash to bits !

Default Tea tree oil/exfoliating wash/Cleansing Foam

I've been looking for a suitable cleansing oil and scrub for my husband for the longest time as he always breaks out without fail when he washes his face with a cleansing foam/gel/wash/scrub. That's why he only used bath gel till we found the Tea tree oil range .

I decided to try the Tea tree range on him when all other brands fail, after reading about it on Cozycot! Bingo. Now he's a convert!!! He even asked me to join as a member and buy more stuff at the newly opened ION Orchard outlet when we were there last week! Now that's a first!!!

Way to go The Body Shop!!! And Cozycot and Cotters for sharing all the good stuff!!!

Default Tbs rave & win

I'm a die-hard fan of The Body Shop for at least 5 years already. I've probably tried 60% of the products, of which many are repeated purchases. My favourite is of course the Tea Tree Range as I have acne-prone skin. In particular, I'm on my 8th bottle of Tea Tree Oil! I use it to kill pimples on both my face and back, even my mum has commented that it's very effective and my skin condition has improved much. I will proceed to use Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion on my scars. After experiencing the excellent results, i have gotten myself the Clearing Toner and Facial Wash to complete my routine. They never fail to provide me with a refreshing experience. Occassionally i use the Exfoliating Wash to get rid of dead skin cells and further lighten my scars. I will like to rave about the Mask and Blotters too although they are not written here. The Mask deep cleanses my pores and my pores are visibly cleaner after washing it off. Blotters are used throughout the day to minimise shine. Hence this routine is fantastic to kill all germs and bacteria, keeping my acne at bay! I totally love this range. Body Shop has also recently revamped the formula to a more moisturising one, yet keeping it potent for acne. I will definitely continue to use the Tea Tree range for years to come!

I really like The Body Shop's Tea Tree range because I think it suits my combination skin. I have been using other more expensive stuff such as Lancome's cream cleanser and toner but I've realised that it is actually quite bad for my skin! While you'd have to use it for a period of time (about a month) before seeing the difference, the point is that you will see the difference! The range is quite value for money, with the foaming cleanser lasting for about three months and the small bottle of Tea Tree Oil lasting longer. The foaming cleanser does not give that squeaky clean drying feeling after wash and I really love that minty after that feels very refreshing. The foam that comes out of the press also makes it easy to spread across your face, instead of having to lather it! After trying The Body Shop range, I feel that other cleansers do not have the same effect for me and I would like to go back to using it!

But I'm sad that I missed the sale period that The Body Shop had for the Tea Tree range! PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!! :p

I love the tea tree oil series of body shop! have been a loyal fan of it since my secondary school days which was around 5 year ago!

If I had to choose, I would say that my FAVOURITEST item would be the Tea Tree Oil blemish stick. It is a REALLY useful aid to clear your pimples or acne and it doesn't sting much as compared to the other brands I have tried. The only downside to it is that it is very small but I like it that way as it is very handy and I can easily slot it into any of my bags! One blemish stick usually can last me for around 2 months and I like to dap a little on full grown or upcoming pimples during morning and night. The effects are especially pronounced on the upcoming pimples and it also will reduce the redness of the pimple. One thing to note though, it is very drying on the skin and excessive usage would cause flaking! I stand by this blemish stick and I would definitely recommend all Body Shop lovers to get it!

I was introduced to by a friend who is very very skin-conscious. She raved about how natural and how effective their products were.

From then on, i decided to give their products a try. I had purchased a series of Tea Tree Oil which i would use religiously everyday.

Starting from The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash,
I love how this product is so gentle on my skin due to my sensitivity towards harsh products. I feel very refreshed and my skin feels very clean. Despite its gentleness, the ingredients contained are very effective for soothing and healing acne. This is very important for a teenager female like me

After cleansing, i would apply The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner,
The toner helps to reduce inflammation of my skin due to acnes, and although cleansing might help to clean off our makeup, this can help to remove the last traces of make-up and add some lightweight moisturizing ingredients to the skin.

Thirdly, The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Blemish Fade Night Lotion,
The main function of this product is to improve the appearance of blemish-damaged skin, equalize oiliness and replenish moisture while sleeping. As i am a person who don't like to apply lotion due to the "oiliness" and "stickiness" feeling, i am very glad to have found this lotion as it is less mild then the other lotions i am using.

These 3 items are daily items in my regime and to add on to the effectiveness of curing my acne skin, i would exfoliate my skin twice a week to remove the dead skin cells.

Using The Body Shop Tea Tree Blackhead Exfoliating Wash,
i can really see my skin looking clearer and smoother. The scrubs are also not very harsh.

The last item i found very handy would be the The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil,
On occasional zits which pops out during periods, mugging till the wee hours of the nights due to exams, just apply the oil and it will soothe the pimple. Although it will not perform a miracle of healing instantly!

To sum it up, i feel that to achieve an acne-free skin takes time and through my regular and consistent usage of the product, i can gradually see improvements on my skin. Thank you !
