Hi Hui, be careful if you intend to try out the BB cream. It sounds good, I'm really curious about it. But Miao said it is for normal to dry skin. And Korean skincare/cosmetics are targetted for their locals, and the Korean winter is really dry and harsh. Wondering BB cream is suited for Singapore's weather.

    haha, actually you know what?

I have been wondering secretly in my little heart on whether the colour lotion is any different from BB cream
they sound different coz, well, the names are different

BUT samang colour lotion also claims to be a 4 in 1 product

so is there any difference? or are they actually the same thing? or at least similar things???

i tried emailing SOMANG cosmetics to ask, but the email actually bounced back...

so horrible that I don't know Korean.... chey~

i go do more research then put it up when I have more knowledge ***

    lladyrain,

    nonono you got me wrong~

WHEN I SAID FOR NORMAL TO DRY SKIN, IT IS REFERRING TO MISSHA M BB CREAM VITA SPECIFICALLY...AND THAT WAS ACCORDING TO THE SALES ASSISTANT AT MISSHA JURONG POINT.

there are BB creams designed for all skin types, for acne prone skin types too in Korea.

what I have been trying to say is,
we have only very limited choices locally now because the trend has not officially started in Singapore.

It is already starting in Taiwan and Hong Kong. In fact if I am not wrong, one of the make up artists actually recommended it before, either onthe show Nu Ren Wo Zui Da or Mei Li Yi Neng Jie...

i've tested the missha and skinfood's bb cream in store and bought the skinfood one. here's my review.

skin type: dry cheeks with breakout / oily tzone

    Missha (tested on hand only)
    - 1 shade only (whether for the normal one or the version with SPF) which does not match my fair skin. it looks too dark and unnatural.
    - coverage is very high, but it's harder to spread and blend

    skinfood
    - texture is noticably easier to blend than Missha. it's like a normal lotion texture. dries to a powder matt finish. facial skin feels soft and pores or blemishes look smoothen out a few mins after application.
    - 2 shades available. i've got shade no 1, which is perfect for me. Shade 1 should suits RMK 101/102
    - medium coverage, easily buildable to high. also, i'm suprised that the coverage seems better on face than when i've tested on hand.
    - i put sunblock below, and pressed powder on top in the morning, and with no touch-ups, my t-zone is still matt at 3pm in the afternoon.

out of these 2 brands, my votes goes to skinfood

But according to the sales assistant, BB cream Vita is for normal to dry skin, so it should be in a way "richer"?

I am looking forwrd to cotters' feedbacks on missha range~
I am using the Missha's BB cream Vita. It feels quite rich on the hand. But if you put toner on your face, then you put the BB cream, then it feels quite light. For me , it does not feel like I have thick foundation. At least that is how I felt ***. Coverage quite okay. But I think you have to touch up by midday. My only complain about this product is the SPF coverage of only 20. Otherwise in other aspects I quite like this product.

I bought Skinfood's Ginko BB cream on Friday and used it over the weekend

My verdict on the BB cream - good! Easy to control coverage. Can range from sheer to normal. I loved the texture. My skin tone looked more even. Not much difference in the oil control area, but then again, my T-zone is very oily. I'm gonna use this for work from now on. The texture of the BB cream is very easy to blend and it disappears into my skin. No. 1 matches my skin great (I'm a Mac NC25) and is translucent. The cream kind of mattifies after application and I just needed a light dusting of loose powder and some eye concealer and I'm ready to go!

Oh ya, and one more thing I noticed, the cream did not oxidize on me. Foundations tend to oxidize on my face, this did not. Yay!

Hehe... I bought the BB cream one day earlier than Girlosophy. Been putting it on everyday since and I'm those who put on makeup only on special occasions. I like it doesn't oxidise on me and evens out my skin but doesn't give me a "madeup" look. Most important is it does not make my fine lines worst. Don't think there is much oil control but after applying the BB cream and dusting on loose powder, I just put tissue paper to blot throughout the day and it still looks alright. Only my T zone tends to get oilier. Even if the cream wears off, its not very obvious. I have oily skin btw, with fine lines.

Thanks to miao for introducing such a great product!

    Hui, it cost me $31.20

Postpet2, yeah, Skinfood only has the Ginko one.

I think it gives a very natural look, great if you don't want to look too "made-up"

The best thing for me is that it doesn't oxidize on my face. Somehow most foundations do on me.

For me, because I have a oily T-zone so I just use blotter to blot my nose. But overall, it's a product I like! Somehow the face feels soft after application, just like you've put on moisturizer. It's kind of like a cream that turns matt after application. I think that the texture of the ginko BB cream is great. Very easy to apply and blend!

Yup, great job Miao for the recommendation!
