I have really sensitive skin (dry/normal).
    Very fair- yellow undertone

I tried Secret Potion, bad breakout
    Sasa MU Base, rash.

Sigh. Any girls of similiar experience? Any products to share?
    Thanks!

For the lime secret base, what is the difference between the shades?

Deliberating between the peach (pink) and green (white) shades.

    hi girls,

somehow when i apply makeup, i don't have the glowy look (or maybe just cos i have lousy skin sob) and my makeup doesn't last. halfway into the day, after lunch, my makeup sort of fades and i feel like i want to remove every thing and reapply again! but i'm at work so can't. haha.

does this mean that i should use a primer to hold the makeup? i currently use neutrogena sunblock waterlight lotion before i apply foundation.
i'm thinking of trying the sasa makeup primer but i'm afraid that applying too many layers of things will be bad for my skin! Stars Smiley

oreocookie A makeup base is advisable if your makeup is sliding off your face halfway through the day. Just apply a thin layer of base will do and if you are worried about applying too many things, get a sunblock which doubles up as a moisturiser + makeup base too. Im using loreal and it fulfils the criteria perfectly Wink Smiley

cmax - it depends on the finish you want. The peach one is great for concealing dark eye circles too and is more natural looking imo. As these are shimmery bases, be careful not to overdo it. The green one is more suited for evening use as it gives a stronger glow.

oreocookie - I prefer the Sasa base as it's got great oil control and pore concealing qualities.

HeatherSung Im using the Loreal Advanced Fluid Protector SPF50. It's actually a sunscreen but doubles up as a moisturiser + makeup base. Really all in one, and its of a stable formulation too so sunblock power is not compromised.

oreocookie Sorry I havent tried the two, but I really like Shu Uemura UV Underbase though Happy Smiley

I highly recommend MAC's Prep+ Prime. It's awesome. My makeup stays intact at the end of the day even w/o any touchup ThumpsUp Smiley

coco mademoisell The Shu Uemura MU base is one of my favourites, keeps makeup looking fresh and simplified the application of foundation. Oil control is fairly well as wellHappy Smiley It also improves and evens skintone so I wear it alone on its own with loose powder on days when I just want light coverage.

prettyeagle: thanks for your review. This time it comes in 2 shades (pink and light beige), i would think that pink is for fairer skin tones and light beige is towards the yellowish skin tone?

Have you tried the guerlein MU base b4? which is better?

I bought the Sasa m/u base in 01 Harmony on Saturday. Went to the Bugis branch. The SA said that the pink tone was out of stock, so I didn't manage to try. She said that in any case, 01 Harmony is more suitable for me... after hearing that I don't wear foundation (just concealer and loose powder), she said that I should definitely not get pink because it would be too bright for me.

The base has a really nice texture and is light and easily absorbed upon application. I noticed some small bumps on the side of my face after application on Sunday, but brushed it off cos I thought it's not due to the m/u base. However, more bumps appeared after application on Monday (which was yesterday), so I think I might be allergic to the ingredient(s). Sad Smiley

So wasted! There's still alot left in the tube cos I only used it, like, twice. I might put it up for swap on makeupalley. Good thing is the opening in the tube is tiny, so it's still relatively hygienic. Flower Smiley
