dovespaniel Ooooh I wanna try the LY foundation brush too! Count me in if you plan to do an order ok :D Well, I hope this post didn't come too late![]()
^^ Hey gal. I think LY missed my boat... I suddenly decide to be on cosmetic hiatus! (though I did buy the chanel new matte lipstick last week as I dont own any matte red lipstick. Haa excuse excuse).
I recently bought Hakuhodo and Sigmna brushes to try and compare. Hakuhodo wins hands down even though they are much more expensive. The face brushes are so soft and silky. No shedding at all. Loves!

I am lemming for Sigma precision set... think they will make great concealer and highlighting brushes.
Hey Happy Paradise, I have them for a month now, love the Hakuhodo brushes, no shedding at all. I buy them here Makeup Brushes(fude) : HAKUHODO USA, High Quality Japanese Makeup Brushes the S100 and Kokutan series are very expensive if you want more affordable ones go for the basic, K or G series.
I just bought afew brushes from Artisan, its a japanese brand. Their brushes are so soft, its really value for money. Moreover its all made of natural hair, cruelty free, no animals are killed or hurt so as to produce all these brushes.
Hi! Aud
If you're reading this, can you enlighten me? I read your blogpost that you've bought Abbamart's brushes. Is the natural or toray brush picks up mineral eyeshadow better? I've missed their $5 off on shipping, I hope the next one comes soon.
If you happen to have Lumiere's Flat top brush, can you compare it with EDM's? I only want to get synthetic brush to apply my mineral foundation as the natural brush tends to be pricky.
I was looking at a youtube video on how geishas apply their foundation.. and to my surprise, they use itahake brushes to apply the foundation! the difference though, is that the foundation that geisha uses is water based, they dilute the white pigment in water, then use the itahake brush to apply, then use a sponge to spread and blend along the way, creating a semi-opaque finish.
inspired by this video, i have been using the itahake brush to apply my rmk cream foundation. the good thing is that it gives a really light, even and refined finish, significantly better than using regular liquid foundation brushes where i usually get this thick, streaky and pasty finish when using with rmk cream. the bad thing is that it uses quite a bit of product because the itahake brush is quite wide, and because the finish is light, you may find it necessary to follow up with concealers on blemishes and undereyes depending on the coverage.
I have wasted $ buying so many brushes for the first time! Gals, don't waste your $$! Abbamart brushes are of low quality China made brushes, they are rough & pricky so do not use especially if we are asian with sensitive or delicate skin. Moreover, all are of small handles, do not judge its sizes from the pic, its deceiving! Go for Sigma or ELF if you are looking for more affordable ones!
thanks for sharing dear.
i almost wanted to order online after seeing some good reviews about them
Looking for this brush set, must be authentic and new in box preferably.
