Hi pretty panda, how much did you pay for your B&L extended lenses, are they monthly disposable? I used to wear B&L monthly ones but after my eyes become dry, I've stopped wearing contacts.

Yep, they are monthly displosable. Right now there's a promotion where $189 gives you 3 + 1 boxes and 1 trial pair. One box contains 3 lenses so it's for 6 months supply. I think this promo is from B&L so all optics should have it. I saw it in Nanyang Opticals (Junction 8 ).

erm, you mean 1 box contains 3 pair of lenses or just 3 lenses?

3+1 box+i trial pair = 4 boxes (12 lenses or 12 pair of lenses) + a trial pair.

Funny that they include a trial pair if you are going to buy the boxes?? Trial pair to start with and if it doesnt suit you, can you do an exchange with the rest unopen boxes??

Actually you can ask your optician if you could just buy 1 pair to try. My optician recently sold me some

It's 3 lenses per box, not 3 pairs. Usually you can exchange with other brands if the trial pair doesn't suit you. Or do like what lilupig suggested, ask them if you can buy only a pair.

hi gal, i have a lot of question regarding contact lenses, hopw u can help!

i have been using focus monthly but i just realised that acuvue monthly is of the same price. is it better? (both at $120/yr)

also, is focus dailes good enough ($160/6boxes)? 'coz i feel that acuvue dailes priced at $210/6 boxes is out of my budget...

just wanna find out from u gals as well, one box of dailes contains 15 pairs of contact lenses right?

also, is it alright to just choose the contacts with the same degree from if i switch brand. will there be any diff in degress between the diff brands?

n the last question, where else can i get cheap contact lenses?

does anyone here wear colortones?
i just bought a pair in hazel and i find that they're a bit uncomfortable to wear.
is this normal for first time color contact lens users?
i feel like the edges of my vision are a little blurred.

i'm using biomedics too... on my last pair now... wondering where i can get them cheap... They are pretty good.... high water content...

I experienced this too. And gave up wearing coloured lens since .. can't really see with those cloudiness in my eyes!

oh, just to update, i'm getting slightly *MORE* used to the blurry edges. it hardly matters after a while so i've concluded that it's something to get used to.

i think you have to check with the optician. strangely, i was given a pair of biomedics to try out (same degree) but i couldn't see clearly at all! i'm using acuvue 2 weeks now.

i usually use bausch & Lomb. so far ok. been using this brand for 9 years.

my friend's using bausch & lomb and she has no prob with it.. she even wore it for 24hrs on her 1st time using contacts coz we spent the whole day out.. surprisingly it didnt irritate her eyes at all... i'm gonna get mine tmr.. =]

i got a trial pair of biomedics from the optician.

cost me $15, got ripped off.

anyway, one side is 38 n the other is 55. i find 55 more comfy for my dry eyes.

but think i'll stick with focus instead.
