Late reply.. sorry about that. I have the same problem with short and unruly eyebrows that look more like a guy's. So my mum bought me to my aunt (beautician) to tattoo my eyebrows. Being a little thick-skinned here, but almost all my friends who had seen my new eyebrows love it.Originally posted by Racer_girl
Does it look natural?
My eyebrows are really short and straight. I thought of trying the soft tap (cap?) eyebrow tatoo....but am really scared....don't want it to turn out horrible and then there's no way of going back!
I can't draw my browsDon't know how...everytime i try it ends up looking totally unnatural and uneven. In fact, i hate the look of drawn brows. Never looks natural to me, unless its really subtle.
Besides, if you go swimming or the beach it would probably come off.
But i'm really wondering if the xiu mei looks natural...or does it look like drawn on brows?
if anyone here knows ANYTHING about it, please let me know!
Thanks a bunch![]()
I'm not promoting my aunt but she really did a great job. She uses a very natural color to tattoo my eyebrows so that it wouldn't look so black. As for those tattooed eyebrows that turned to green, what I heard is that those are badly done tattoo jobs. Cause if it's a good one, your tattooed eyebrows can last for a very very long time and wouln't fade to green.
My mum had brought alot of colleagues and other relatives to my aunt and they all raved about her.
Tattooed eyebrows will start to peel. It's a natural process. 2 weeks after your first tattoo job, you should go back for a touch-up. What I heard is that the touch-up should be free. But don't just take my word for it. Check it out before you tattoo your eyebrows. After that, it will still peel (kinda like a sunburn thing) but I think you wouldn't need to go back for touch-ups so regularly.
I still draw my eyebrows so that it looks much neater. But a good tattoo job wouldn't require much drawing.
As for eyebrow embroidery, it fades off faster than tattoo. My friend did it last year and today, it has faded to a light brown. Eyebrow embroidery is a temporary way for short eyebrows.
For a good tattoo job, do check that the needle that's being used on you is a new and clean one. Insist on them opening a new needle for you in your presence. Most tattooing jobs go wrong because of unclean needles and of course, the skills of the person who's tattooing your eyebrows.
i saw someone did hers when i was at #1 to touch up my brows almost one year ago.. i really look scary as it is quite close to the eye. but the effect is nice. then again, i heard that the first few week before the 'colouring' fades, will look like indian. than will be normal.
btw, if i did not remember wrongly, is 100 for upper and 120 for lower..(something like this or vice versa)

i am supposed to update my eyeliner embroidery but i forgot.
did it 3 weeks ago..now faded, i have to go for touch up in 2 months time. now it looks natural but i find it too faint to be obvious. thats why must touch up.
as for pain factor, ya i find it very very painful and i kept on tearing. i did it on the upper eyelid. took about 8 min i estimated.
as for my eyebrow embroidery, after i went for my 1st touch up 2 months later, the colour seems alot better. had both done by amy from #1 salon at bishan. overall i would recommend her but i heard negative remarks about her before.
must be prepared to wait even though u have an appt as she is very busy.
oh ya for brows, amy would usually recommend coco brown, the standard and safest colour. unless if u request it to be more brown or black then she would mix with red or black depending on your request.
hope i am of help![]()

I had eyebrow and upper eyeliner embroidery since i started work, it was good dark brown and look natural , i just had my eyebrow touch up few month ago at Jean Yip ,JB.My friend recommand the beautician for me because she the manager there so i trust her ,it was perfect .For upper eyeliner will be touch up when i'm prepare for the pain factor.
I will say better don't do lower eyeliner because will not look natural and look fierce, draw your lower eyeliner yourself , upper eyeliner will be good if the beautician with very good skill.
