All that glitters is also nice neutral e/s shade also. And it's quite popular as well.

Thanks Icechloe and Geeko How do these 2 es appear on skin - the result i'm trying to achieve is that, when applied, it looks like i have NW/NC25 foundation on my skin, except that i used a pressed powder es (instead of foundation). i know, a bit of a weird idea i have

All That Glitters is a gold hint color, definitely not neutral or skintone like

I get what you mean, You want a look that is nude on the eyelids like only slightly powdered right?

it depends on what kind of finishes you are looking at too but All That Glitters shade is definitely out. we have same skintone and it looks gold light brown on me

yes, Renie, you get what i mean

I'm not actually that shade (about NC/NW15), and i'm going to use it on my undereye cos i want to downplay/contour/shadow (ie. do the opposite of highlight) that area so it has to look skin-like, plus i'd like it to be a pressed powder es rather than a face/base product like fdn or concealor.

    Hi

I tried my MAC mecurial mineralize e/s today and i loved it!! the colour is great and very easy to apply.

the only problem i am having is that it comes off very easily - even with UDPP as the base. Hence, my e/s was totally gone by the end of 4 hours..

    Any suggestions to prevent this?

    TIA!

misssunshine - did you get the Look In the Box set? It's such a great set isn't it? I loved everything except the mascara, which smudged on me cos it wasn't waterproof. For the eyeshadow, I used TFSI base and the colours stayed on till end of the day. Then again, I don't have oily lids and I wear the base more to let the colours pop.

xtwinklestar - according to the MUA, you use a flat eyeshadow brush to apply the lighter colour to the inner corner of the eyes then darker colours to the outer corners. Blend with a eyeshadow blender brush. It's unlikely the difference will be very obvious since the colours are already swirled together. That's why this is the best eyeshadow for those in a hurry or for travelling. Somehow, the colours work together to give depth instead of appearing like you've only got one shade on your eye.

i just bought an mac eyeshadow & realise the manufacturing date is 02/2010. i called up Mac store & they say their eyeshadow can last 3-4 years & they sound so defensive.

    Is this true?
If i feel uncomfortable, can i bring the eyeshadow to other outlet for exchange?

For eyeshadow i'm not afraid to use it even after keeping it for more than 4 years. I still continue to use it, cause i love to buy and stock up on cosmetics to the extend that i can never finish using them. For lippies i will throw it away when the color change and it smells weird. Lippies turn bad very fast, less than two years and i just dump it away.
