Default how to deal with unwelcome colleague?

help!! this colleague of mine is driving me crazy ...

he has been with us since last Sept but he has not be working at all!!! all he know is to act BZ and was surfing nets all day long ... he doesn't learn, he doesn't listen, yet he like to talk as if he know everything under the sun!!!

at the age of 28, an MBA holder ... he doesn't know excel!! even simple PC knowledge he doesn't have... he does not know how to print "landscape"!!!!
a primary school student is much better than him!

he worked as a Port Agent for a shipping forwarder for 4 years & he does not know shipping terms!!!

best of all, my boss like him ... all because he talks well

all of us r feeling so down ... no one can click with him

    sad ...

Agree with flowerpuff. And remember not to do his work for him. I guess people like him might try to make use of colleagues to do his work and then claim credit for himself.

Make sure that no one does his work and I'm sure your boss will realise that this colleague of yours is a just a person who talks but can't do any work.

    Cheer up

talk about it... my colleague is simply not suitable for the job, and has no related experience in a highly technical job. he WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND whatever is taught to him and just pretend to know everything when he doesnt. ive gave up explaining things to him or even correct him cos its going to be a waste of time cos he will forget within a few minutes. What to do, he is boss' friend... I complained about this and asked for him to be redesignated or transferred. Answer was a yes yes OK, but few months has past and nothing has happened!

    lingmong:
I have seen this type of person many times. The amazing fact is they can stay for years in a place without doing what they are hired to do!

I met one 'super grade' where he:
    1) cannot and not willing to do what he was paid for
    2) slack whenever he can and openly
    3) gift of tongue to twist fact so he will make you the scapegoat
    4) hide all mistakes and can even say ' is that even a problem?' to you when you pointed that mistake
    5) super imagination where he thinks himself as a good colleague and tried to be friends to everyone. those who hated him will ignore him and those who is unaware of his true character will think he is good.
    6) bulletproof face where he can withstand all insults
    7) knows how and will 'butter' the boss with every given opportunities

We all thought that he will stay long and forever but one day, he offended the boss who liked and protected him. In the end, this 'super grade' resigned prior confirmation saying he 'cannot worked with the boss' and 'had a better offer'.

Please try your best to ignore this colleague and at the same time, protect yourself. The boss will see his true color sooner or later.

Seems like these pple all have the ability to talk their way out of anything but actually contribute nothing. I guess almost every co will have someone like that... There's nothing we can do but wait for their downfall.... haha

I just wonder if he has a fixed workload. Where he needs to produce output to be reviewed.

It is amazing, that these people think they are the boss's son or what, and just sit there for hours. Wait for lunch , wait to go home only.

They are great taiqi masters. Can push the work to others and when confronted, get the boss to support. And the stupid boss really go support.

Just let this lazy guy rot in your office then. It will not do him any good by behaving that way at all. He will not learn anything. I dislike and look down on such useless guy.
