Used to be only 2k a few years back.

Probably too many left the industry and hence the salary increase

Interesting. But not too sure if that is correct as last year only $2400 for new graduates.

The starting pay for Year 1 associates in E&Y has already been revised to $2.6k as of last year August 2010...so I believe that the starting pay being $2.7k this year comes as no surprise. I am currently a year 2 associate and getting $3k. Not sure of the year 1 senior pay yet as I would only know in September.
