Hi,
I am recently rejected for the teaching award.
Is it possible to reapply !?
If yes, may I know whether it will be open within the first half of the year?
If I'm not wrong, I think the application is opened twice a year , one in march, one in sept am I right?

I hear there is a dip from MOE or NIE that helps in the teaching tuition?

Hey Rachie_B, do you mean the one where MOE will help you to pay the tuition fees?

Its the Bachelor in Education actually. You'll read a course (subject you are going to teach) and be trained at the same time. so after 4 years, you're going to be a teacher straight away. Hope this helps

Quite likely you will be rejected if u reapply as you had rejected their award before.

Maybe you should try tutoring or relief teaching to add the experience to you resume first.

Hi all.. I recently apply the Bachelor of education for polytechnic but my gpa not that good. so is shortlisted based on gpa? and if Im rejected for this prog,will there anyway that Im get inform about it? and also i thought of if my application is not successful and I apply the diploma one and then go to pursue bachelor means i must do 4years of bachelor still? isit even possible to go from diploma straight to bachelor or must after the bond? contract teaching is bond type right? Pls help so confused.

Hi, would like to ask if anyone here was teaching and moved to a banking career. I am currently very tempted to move away from teaching as I cannot see myself facing the work here every year and getting such a low pay. I need a more robust career where I can earn more and experience more. I am considering the banking industry because one of my friend is in the industry and she told me that the income is much more lucrative and the working hrs are much better. I have a diploma in Media and Communication. So I would want to get into Marketing or Consumer Research. But I checked their sites and they required experience. So I would like to hear from some of you here. Thanks.

btw I read one BEng didn't even get the interview chance. *shocking*
I graduated from NTU with BEng (1st class honor) but it was five years ago. for the recent 3 years I have been a freelance tutor. somehow I feel my chance of getting interview opportunity is slim.....

Hey guys, I'm new in here.. Have been following up on the threads lately for a few months now. I was called up for an interview just about within 2 weeks after I submitted my online application & am shortlisted for Arts in Sec schools.

Went for the interview exactly last week, Thursday at MOE. Anyone else went for the same interview?? Last week 6th Oct 2011?

I'm a graduate from a local polytechnic with a Dip in Design and hopefully, with a rather good portfolio. Its been just a week, but I'm wondering when will we be notified if we are selected?? And for those who are trying to be Arts teacher, (non academic subject), will we be also given an additional subject to teach? I understand its 2 subjects per teacher?

And also, since Ive got a local Dip in Design, with some moderate experience in the industry plus a good portfolio, will I still have to for for the NAPHA Test to qualify to be an Arts teacher?? Pls advice me, Im just too anxious!! I LOVE ART!!
