Hello all, I know it has been asked before, but was quite awhile ago.
Anyone knows how's the culture and working hours like in Civil Service College? I had pretty good vibes about the place when I went for the interview but when I got the job offer, I was rather disappointed with the pay they offered. But given that my interest level for the job is quite high, I am willing to accept it. Just wanna know if the environment is good, at least another plus point for me to rejoice haha.
hi, jus wanna share my experience so far. i have been working for abt 7 years now. had abt 6 yrs of admin exp in pte sector and then i left to join a stat board which lasted only 8 months due to the bosses' managerial style. am now looking for a job and kinda in a dilemma of which sector i wanna work in.. i've received an offer from a stat board, however i'm more interested in the position from the pte sector as i believe i can learn more from this MNC. still unsure which path to choose tho...
There are exams to take whenever they apply for any work with the government. There are some very strict rules and requirements to meet in every branch of the government and for every position within that branch. There's a level of job security and benefits in government work. The health care benefits are known to be the best i heard. As for the private sector, you need to have a certain amount of education, experience, training or skills. But the rules and requirements are not as strict as the government work.
