i got approached too. the lady is a japanese. they called me up but i was busy. lucky i didnt go down. dont believe that if i have potiential, i need to pay any money for portfolio. instead agents should be paying for me. lol...2cents

I believe if you have what it takes they will find you or you can find them...
now facebook is so prominent and easier option to look for the agencies...
and i personally dont believe in paying for your portfolio...
unless is something you want to do and for keepsake... =)

would somebody help me................ bcoz one oF Ma frnds is approached by a person called jean itseems she is a project coordinator in imodelsholdings agency she took her number and details and she called back after 1 day telling her that she is selected for a newly released sonyericsson mobile ad and she alsosaid that she will pay her an amount of 10000$ per ad should we believe this plzzzzzzzz help us whether this model agency is genuine or this is just a fake WE ARE FROM INDIA AND MA FRND WANTS TO GO O SINGAPORE FOR THIS AD.........PLZZZ HELP US BY POSTING SOME INFORMATION ABOUT THIS MODEL AGENCY

just like to ask, is that a type of modelling that is called fit models?

that means that the clothes company needs people to model their clothes so that if there is any problems with the clothing the designer can alter?

wow, it's quite funny that they offer me different price. they offer me 670 for 4 looks and 870 for 6 looks. i paid 20 first as currently i really doesn't have that much money. luckily i went to google abt them now. maybe i should ask my friend to help me with the portfolio instead. the problem is, would they accept that?

hey all,

if agencies/scouts/agents are genuine with providing you jobs and thinking you're up for it (which when they do, they'd get commission too), they will either provide your portfolio or link you up to do a TFCD. i think some of the questionable agencies raised here may have decent jobs, but anyone can provide you decent jobs if they have connections. hence, please be careful, do your research (or google) and know the limits you can go. don't be swayed by sweet words.


anyway the modelling world is never sweet and simple. there's so much on top of the regular castings/portfolio development whatever. do be careful and stay safe and true to yourself.

Hi there. same thing happened to me ytd. and I gave $50 -.- but today i made an excuse that i need the money cos my allowance won't be enough for me until the end of the month and he is willing to transfer me the money on sat (HE SAID). hopefully it's true. will update asap

for your case, cos its $10, i think it will be hard to get it back so sorry. he also took my pic! but fortunately the pic didn't look like me lol. hmmm shud we post in stomp?

yea. i was glad that i didnt give him more. i think he is kinda scary. eek! he was willing to give it back to me but my boyfriend asked me not to meet up with him anymore.so i gave it up. Too bad that i didnt have his PHOTO. or else i will stomp it!
