    Default manicure model places???

I'm just wondering if anyone knows where i can go if i am interested in like being a manicure model, u know, like model for body parts, for like the pictures tt we see at nail places? Cos alot of my friends and some manicurists say my nails very long and nice, so i was just wondering if i could model my nails... for all the effort i do to keep my nails pretty, my friend suggested that i should not put my nails to waste...

    hi darling

i don't think there are agencies that just contract body-parts modelling jobs only. usually they engage in all sorts from catwalk to editorial and so on. it's only what type of modelling each person is suitable for.
if you are really interested in venturing into this area, just approach any reputable agencies or production companies to find out more on such body-parts models. but do note that wherever or whichever you go to, you are usually required to pay 1st to have a portfolio made..... perhaps unless you really have those exceptional qualities (no offence, but it applies to anyone)

    good luck :wish:

and btw, you have to take extremely good take of your hands. No cuts, scars, dry peeling cuticles, no dark spots anywhere and the skintone must be even (not even on those knuckles part). IIRC, i think you can't even put on nail polish unless you are told to. I've worked part-time in a talent agency before and these were what I got to know

I was once invovled in a hair modelling assignment. But decided to not accept it again because it was really damaging my hair which was once soft and silky.

I have been to I Models to check out the place, have been to the ads on ClassifiedAds, have been to UAN. Many more.

They all require you to have a set of portfolio even when you already have one from another company. I asked why, I Models told me it's some ethical or law reasons that they are not allowed to take another companys' portfolio for their own use.

Classified Ads said portfoilo taken with them will let them know how you can pose and what you can potray etc.

Seriously I don't believe either of it. They just want to earn your money through portfoilos. I doubt any modelling agency would be able to guarantee you an assignment.

I went to I Models and saw this lady who was so called selected for this assignment. But you should take a look at her face. I'm not trying to be mean or anything. But it wasn't even pleasant looking. I was there with a friend and we both really couldn't accept her looks. They spoke loudly so my friend and I could hear them. Now, thinking back, I'm wondering if it was a scam. Haha.

I used to be an assistant producer and work with talent agencies. Mostly we got our talents from TCT and EZEN, as far as i have come across all the talent agecies (Not including the model agencies), these 2 has been a great help for me! TCT you can contact orchid, and ezen you can contact esther.
    Cheers =D

TCT was where I once worked part-time 2 years ago. This is definitely one you can trust, but of coz like any other agencies, you need to pay for a portfolio. During my stint, I actually got my bf to sign up with them. Even till now, he still gets calls and assignments from them.

What and where is TCT? Haha. I'm a bit outdated.

Anywhere to find more info about them?

it's a scam, they will make you pay for a porfolio. Try carrie's models. It's a reputable agency.

Oh no I read about i-Models' bad review here! Unlucky enough, I've been to their studio for a shoot which costs me 388, no less! Somehow, I attended a casting last month, regarding to a pizza hut ad. But as expected, no calls later on from my agency about the shortlisting.

    I-models = IMI right?

they are forever looking for new faces to update their portfolios..

had experience talking to the guy who was mentioned in the first page of the forum, think is the same person, also those guy kind of person..

Think i paid a deposit of $50 but didn't take any portfolio in the end, because I felt I did not want more money to go to waste.

He showed me those before and after photos of the models and true, they were very nice, as in the AFTER photos, but sometimes it is hard to believe it is the same person.

Remember him to one who takes the chance to befriend people who walks in in search of a modelling job. In the end, i even gave him a photo (passport photo) because I do not want the portfolio anymore. No news after that too anyway. Haha!

Did a hairshow before, think was with E-Zen or something, the pay was quite good.

Would say that modelling should be easy money, but you really have to be careful with agencies who ask you to pay upfront cost.

Whichever agency approaches you, say you wil consider and come back online to check for forums and feedback
