Ideal gifts for guy friend (Need help seriously)

I'm going to Taipei to meet a friend of mine & he is a man.. I'm thinking of buying him a gift & what's more, his birthday is around that corner, what should I buy? Any ideas / suggestions pls!

Common or usual gifts will be ties, cuff links, wallets, watches, fountain pens like Parker pens, men's fragrance, or deodorants. I usually give fountain pens to professional men and men's fragrance to "metrosexual" men. Other items listed can be given to all kinds of men, haha...

"Media" as in graphics design? Advertising? Animation? Or something like the public entertainment industry - cinemas, television dramas etc.?

I guess people in "media" are more creative and flexible? Accessories with creative designs should be suitable. For example, funky belts? Looking for the usual items like ties, cuff links, wallets, watches in creative designs should help too.

I see. He's in the movies industry... What about electric shavers? I know that Philips has a good quality range of shavers and they aren't cheap. Or do you know if he's into toys? If he is, you can get model cars, model toys, or figurines of his favourite cartoons for him. Those aren't cheap either.

Branded wallets like "Pierre Cardin", branded belts like "Crocodile", "Dunhill", branded pens like "Parker", branded bags like "Louis Vuitton", "Burberry", expensive or luxurious gold or white gold men's bracelets with or without diamonds (don't know of any particularly "outstanding" brand, haha...), branded watches like Rolex, Seiko, Breitling, Casio etc. are all very classy, presentable gifts. You might consider giving one of them to your idol.

If you ask me, personally, I'll go with genuine, branded luxury watches from brands like Rolex, Seiko, Casio, Breitling etc. because that will suit the class of a superstar like Donnie Yen most.

Personally i like giving wallet, pen, and shirt or maybe tie to a guy friend as these are things that he will use often.
