I been receiving many calls from insurance companies like AIA, Manulife, Prudential insurance and banks trying to promote their product or job opportunities. The most funny part is regarding abt job opportunity when the caller said "Congrates you been selected and offered a financial planner post" but when the shit did I applied any job from them.
They really drive me nuts man...they bugged me everyday during office hour and I can't find a place to talk because my office is so quiet. How to stop them from calling?? I have complained to manulife before but still receiving calls from them. How did they get our contact numbers? News have been reporting that some banks or telecom coy sold our contacts to 3rd parties then I think those who bought n sold the contacts shld get penalty.

Tell them off?
Yah I did....then I was telling them to stop calling me and delete my info from their database and he hang up when I was saying half way.
Haha. I've once received a call from some agent saying that "I walked by their booth at Expo the other day with my hubby and looking pregnant." He kept asking me things like whether I'd be interested in getting some policies for my future child blah blah blah. I was like, no I'm not married and definitely NOT pregnant. Didn't know whether to laugh or be offended!![]()
Try to pretend as if you are a cop or something like that so that they get scared out of crap !![]()
yes, such calls can be quite pesky. I'll usually cut them off halfway and say that I'm in a meeting and just hang up!
speak a foreign language
make them blur
then hang up
The calls will start when you sign up for a credit card. Under the T&C, if you bothered to read, you have just authorized the banks to distribute your personal details to merchant the banks 'deem fit'. Of course the term 'deem fit' is rather subjective isn't it?
Telemarketers are human being too, just so you may have forgotten, be nice. :D
