Batman: it's good that the kid stopped the kicking. i've faced the same incident as yours. i just turned around and looked at him and he got my hint, and stopped the kicking. in this noise pollution case, what if i asked the teen (in a nice tone) to stop playing the loud music while i can enjoy my ride, the teen talked back at me in an angry tone, or with vulgarities in his reply? i would feel kinda embarrassed. the teen could have said:"why should i stop playing just because you asked me to? this place you buy one huh?"
even if i were to explain to him nicely that i need some peace during the journey, he could have said:" you not happy you get out of this bus and take another one l.a.h!"
sometimes the teens can be so "beng" and "lian" that i feel it's a waste of my energy to keep carry on the explanation to them. (i'm so worried that one day i have a child like them.) so i feel it's better for everyone if there's banning of loud music on public transport. if the person wants to hear loud music, get himself/herself a pair of earphones.

i totally get what you're saying! it's so frustrating and i had this time when i was just beside the blaster. i don't get it, is it like cool or anything? cos it's just some PUNKISH ACT that pisses me off and everyone else off. okay, the thing is, i'm a teen as well, and i dont find it cool at all.

but unfortunately, i am as exasperated as all of you are, cos i don't know how to shut those people up. and i don't wanna get bashed up and die or something. LOL ah well. maybe the next time we encounter something like that we'll just pretend we're making a call or something and we go, AIYO I DON'T GET IT. KIDS NOWADAYS AH, GOT MONEY BUY PHONE NO MONEY BUY HEADPHONE. MUST HAVE BE STOLEN. SHOULD CALL THE COPS OR SOMETHING. lol piss their ass off for pissing us off. heh.

or we should set up a club.like anti-blasting-noise-on-public-transport club or something. SIGH!

Which he did and I enjoyed the rest of the awesome movie in peace.

So yes, sometimes if you want something, all you have to do, is ask.
i rem gt once a kid behind me in theatre placed his shoes near my head.. i gt so freaking irritated that i turned and stared at him.. i remembered asking him nicely to place his feet elsewhere, but he didn't listen and his fren sniggered along with him.. i gt so frustrated i yelled until the whole cinema could hear me..

and den he started kicking me thruout the xmen 3 movie..

ya, i agree sometimes all you have to do is ask, but it doesn't work all the time..

earphones don't really solve anything if one plays it overwhelmingly loud..

kids these days dont show some respect to others and to one self.. getting more and more out of hand..

Hmm, if he tried to be funny with you in public, he's risking the wrath of other passengers.

I am not sure if its inconsiderate but it really did annoy me because it also happened to me. Its so long but i cannot remember if she is there standing and asking if we've finished or shake our cans. basically cannot eat in peace. Then the stall owners tell her to go elsewhere n later then come. People eating she shouldnt wait down there etc..... keep on looking at us.

and i really dislike those selfish dog owners. I saw -

-those who so hardworking bring dogs down for a walk and then, let them clear their bowels and urinate ard.
-comb their dogs in public. Why? Cannot comb at home? Because of the furs right?
-ShAVE or TRIM the dogs fur in public. Very horrible

If you find dogs very dirty, making a mess at yr house because of their waste materials and furs, then dont keep!!! Why u go public area to clean up yr dogs? Even playground can see dog furs........ Why these people so selfish?

admits i'm unreasonable. i hate the smell of burbs! i keep smelling the disgusting smell in a movie session. so disgusting! imagine all the rojak food inside the stomach all came out in a smell! and i give no face to people who burbs. if i smelled it in the train, bus, i would "wave my hand" infront of my nose, to tell the one who burb: it's smelly. if i'm in the movie, i'll say in a normal tone to my friend/partner, "yucks, someone burbs!"

this is to embarrass the burb-er!

Secretly I find it very disgusting when people put up their feet in the cinema. I know its very comfy but its not a very nice sight. imagine someones slipper marks on the back of your chair. urgh. Some of my friends are guilty of this though. And what if later, someone needs to cut through to their seat?

I hate guys who open their legs WIDE in the mrt. -_- I know guys can't sit with their legs closed up but at the very least you don't have to interfere with the other persons legroom.

I also think people who make a dash for the mrt doors (especially if they cut in front of you) as if it is a life threatening situation or something very irritating. Especially if they step on me.

I don't like it when in crowded areas, smokers anyhow like to flick cigarette ash around when theres SO MANY PEOPLE squeezing. This happened when I went to see fireworks and I was so paranoid of the ash landing on me. Worse still we were at a staircase. Hopefully no poor innocent soul below got hit. As far as I'm concerned, smoke if you must, but make sure the people around you don't get affected....

we have a small round table in the pantry and one particular colleague likes to cross her legs and occupy the entire space under the table (if you knw what i mean) .. and she doesnt say sorry nor excuse her legs even if she kicks any of us .. she simply continue sitting there chit chatting like she has no feelings in both legs. and WE are the ones who have to move our feet away to avoid being kicked again

and hmm.. it doesnt happen just in the pantry but wherever she goes. some people are jsut so inconsiderate.

i think i have a lot of pet peeves.. and some that you guys have mentioned, but i think one of the worse would be

when females with long hair usually tied up in ponytail just keep turning their head and their ponytails would be flying around and would whack people, it would be worse if it hits me in the face...
i just so wanna take a scissors and cut their ponytail aways.. who knows if they washes their hair or not..

another kind would be when those people board the lift they would just stand in the middle and not even attempt to move to allow more people to board..
like 'helloooo.. there's so much space behind you?'

I'm so guilty of this! but well, i think its human nature to want to have a seat, so you cant blame them whattt. =x

i absolutely detest ppl leaning on the poles on the train, esp during peak hours. Just told a guy off for leaning on the pole yesterday..

People who let their not-very-young boys use the female toilet, simply because it is more convenient or what?!

most females toilet would have the sign 'boys over the age of 6 are not allowed' but this woman brought her 8-10 yr old son in. i felt very disturbed and uncomfortable. plus the boy is so tall, nearly up to my shoulder. it's forgivable if the child is disabled and needs assistance but this kid obviously is not.

cos the mom and boy went to separate cubicles. then the boy kept playing with the door open/door close button while he waited for his mother. no toys to play with at home is it, need to play with toilet doors?

told my SO about it and he wondered why doesn't the boy feel embarrassed about using the ladies. my reply was: he has been sissy-fied by his mother for so long, maybe he forgot that he's actually a boy.

simply annoy when see young children behaving mischievously in public, turning into public nuisance and their parents simply dun bother. Had encountered such case in a fastfood restuarant during peak hour, the 2 young kids (less than 4 yrs old) ran ard the place, standing near the door and get in the way of people walking, playing with chairs and putting their butts on the table. All this while, the parents just continued to enjoy their meal and enjoyed their couple time. Woo, bet they were really that hungry to have turned blind over their kids' actions.
