    Default The Body Shop

Hello, has anyone tried TBS's range of body butters and scrubs? Rants / raves? And by the way, which body butter / scrub is for which skin type?

I'm looking for a replacement body scrub, now that my sugar one is running out, and I just can't afford to keep indulging in Fresh scrubs... was eyeing TBS's cocoa butter scrub and body butter....anyone tried this before? Is it yummilicious? Razz Smiley

Mmm, thanks for the feedback gals!

I checked out their website...looks like most of their scrubs are SALT based...which I can't take because of my sensitive skin...is their MANGO scrub the only sugar-based scrub? I prefer sugar scrubs anytime, sugar is good for the skin! And not as abrasive or harsh as salt...

Ditto on the Lavender Salt Scrub too. In fact I find it less coarse when compared to NE or Fresh Sugar Scrub. I love the relaxing scent and the film of moisturiser that stays on myr body after that. No need for any body lotion. Hv tried the mango scrub too. Not too bad but personally still prefer the Lavender one. For body lotion, I have tried the grapeseed one. Nice scent and do a decent job if your body is not too dry.

I rememeber Atypical raving about Cottageshoppe or something like that before rt? Cheap and good?

i love body scrubs, indulge in too many. i like lavender for a while then find the smell a lil overpowering. i tried mango & shea when they brought them in a few months back, i like sugar scrubs more than salt tho some say salt scrub takes the toxin off your skin! mango --> like how sweet sour it smells & yes this leaves a layer of oil too! no need for moisturizer after the scrub!

I believe the Shea is for very dry skin, but not too sure. I know that it's written underneath the name on each tub though! Can't help with body scrubs, haven't tried yet but the Nut one smells sooooo sweet. Happy Smiley If you do end up getting one please post on how you liked/disliked it!

i got the grapeseed moist and the Nut scrub. both smells so delicious.. however, i always felt the need to soap myself again after using the Nut scrub, cos it is a tad too oily
but the moist is not bad!

i loooooove these stuff - have been using lavender salt scrub and various body butters; the salt scrub is much finer than a MMU sugar scrub i own too. i'm trying the shea one next :D

body butters, they're great especially now that the weather is cooler and i can sleep in my non-airconditioned room with a body cream on, no problems (usually, i use a light body lotion)...smells yummy and really moisturizes really well, LOVE IT

on the flip side tho', they're pretty expensive and both products run out quite fast for regular users...i think i'm gonna switch regularly to Nivea body lotions, creams (cheap and really good, tho' not yummy Cry Smiley ) and maybe make my own scrub or use a cheap st. ives one....budget budget

I second Nivea's...pleasant scent and absorbs quickly with just enough moisture for my scaly shins.

I just bought the Mango scrub and Honey body butter from TBS. Quite pricey for those small tubs, but still much cheaper than what I used to rely on (Fresh Brown Sugar scrub and Milk lotion). Yup, yup, austerity drive kicking in...gotta start saving for my love nest. Happy Smiley Will post comments once I start using the TBS stuff. I did use their Nut body butter before, it smelled totally divine, like caramel! Razz Smiley

Hey Farah, I wasn't aware of this Xmas set! I bought separates, but with the 15% discount it came up to just under $45, so I guess it's almost the same as buying the Xmas set. :D

If you just want the scrub then just buy the scrub - no point buying the set if you're not gonna use the body butter. Alternatively you could try swapping it away.
