    Hi,

Something new to me to put conditioner on the legs to shave... But sounds quite alright. In my case, previously I was using those shaving cream (veet) where you spread a layer on your legs then wait for a few minutes before scrapping them off. After that I change to those wax strips but then it started giving me problems as my skin turns red and patchy, and regrowth is quite fast In the end I decided to just go for regina's KPL after reading many good reviews about it. Now I'm happy as no such problems anymore

If you are going to Regina for appt and planning to sign up the package you can quote my membership details so we each can receive a free small part

    Default qqqttt goes for treatment...

    Hi beecoz,
I have quoted you. Remember to claim your free part.

So.. I went for my first treatment at Regina and was pretty good. Actually couldnt even feel much of the heat or zapping so abit worried whether its strong enough to zap out the roots.
Looked at the machine and can confirm its Deka- Krypton. They have two machines from what I saw, one is the blue one another the white one. they used the blue one on me for my tanned skin and it was showing that it had been used for over 3000 zaps. Abit worried about the bulb. The white one looked abit new.. but not sure.
Any guys over here checked the machines and know more details into it? Just abit curious/worried, and hope the bulbs are still ok and working at full force.

After the treatment was recommended to apply aloevera gel. Now I have few more weeks to see how the results turn out. I took the big 1500 bucks package and its so far the highest investment I have done on myself so it better turn out good enough..

Hi.. Like qqqttt i also went for my first treatment a few days ago... Basically i took the same package as you!!! The highest amount i paid for any treatment. :S yupp and hopefully we be able to see good results. But one thing is i never noticed the machines. Haha i was feeling so nervous that i just didn't noticed anything!! I had also bought the gel and am dutifully applying it.

    Hi qqqqtttt & kkonthewallll,

Looks like you are off to a great start I'm looking forward to my next appt tmr too which I have patiently waiting for 12 weeks. Nothing much to zap now but nevertheless still excited I can have permanently hairfree legs since my package is unlimited lower legs. I have never taken note of which machine they use though and what's the difference b/w those 2. Will take a look tmr.

    Default Regina

Any recent reviews of the Underarm treatment at Regina's? I'm considering taking up the 138 unlimited package with them. Do I get a free small part treatment if I quote someone for the Underarm package, or is it for other packages?

I just did my 7th underarm treatment at Regina last week (so at 14th month now, with 1 treatment every 2 months). On the average, I have to shave every 1 week - 1.5 weeks. Regrowth starts appearing at the 5th day mark.

Between the 4 - 5th treatments, the hair growth remained more or less the same. No reduction and no retardation.

However, for my 6th and 7th treatments, not sure why but the regrowth suddenly accelerated. For example, right after my 7th treatment, regrowth appeared within 2 days. There's also no decrease in hair follicles.

Which is why I'm hesitant to take up any larger packages. I'm still waiting to see if this underarm thing really works. So far, I gauge my underarm hair growth to have decreased about maybe 30% in surface area. But the regrowth rate I'm not really pleased about.

Anyone else with similar experience? I'm not exceptionally hairy and I never really had that much underarm hair too (can be plucked out weekly type). Of course, I switched to shaving after starting on Regina.

They charged me several thousands on that, however, there are still some fine & long hairs in my underarm.... I don't want to waste too much money on that now....coz I am tight in budget now too...

    Thanks for ur helps.

I did my underarm IPL in 2008 (5 treatments package and I am kind of hairy ) till now the effective still there, not much regrowth so I want to do IPL for other part of my body but the shop I went last time no longer in operation, so I do consider Regina since many cotter went for it.

If 7th treatments only 30% decreased I think I need to look for other shop instead.

Yea I"m pretty disappointed to be honest. Regina doesn't hardsell so it's a plus but this is seriously time-consuming. Not sure if the 2-month interval inbetween treatments is a factor. But the interval is stipulated by them, so I have no choice.

They used to give phone calls to remind you about your upcoming appointments, then last few months switched to SMS reminders instead, which is fine. My last treatment I went they said there won't be any reminder at all, so pls don't forget it.

Similarly, they used to shave the pits, now they have a poster telling you to shave yourselves before going.

Seems to me like they can't be half-arsed about customers on cheaper packages. Quite a turn-off to me.

I think I can understand how you feel.....but if customers on cheaper packages could be potential repeat customer on more expensive packages, so important is those saloon or clinic can have result. If you have result customers sure come back to you right?

A few months back i bought a $88 unlimited underarm IPL from Touche. I have went for 3 sessions so far and each session the therapist did only 5 pulses on each underarm. Is this normal because my mum signed up for the unlimited underarm IPL at Jean Yip and each session her therapist did up to 20 pulses on each underarm?

Also, my therapist did not apply any gel before proceeding with the IPL.
